Four toddlers were so severely ill and neglected at a U.S. Border Patrol facility in McAllen, Texas, that lawyers forced the government to hospitalize them last week.

The children, all under age 3 with teenage mothers or guardians, were feverish, coughing, vomiting and had diarrhea, immigration attorneys told HuffPost on Friday. Some of the toddlers and infants were refusing to eat or drink. One 2-year-old’s eyes were rolled back in her head, and she was “completely unresponsive” and limp, according to Toby Gialluca, a Florida-based attorney.

She described seeing terror in the children’s eyes.

“It’s just a cold, fearful look that you should never see in a child of that age,” Gialluca said. “You look at them and you think, ‘What have you seen?’”

Another mother at the same facility had a premature baby, who was “listless” and wrapped in a dirty towel, as HuffPost previously reported.

The lawyers feared that if they had not shown up at the facility, the sick kids would have received zero medical attention and potentially died. The Trump administration has come under fire for its treatment ― and its alleged neglect ― of migrants who have been crossing the southern border in record numbers. The result is overcrowded facilities, slow medical care and in some instances, deaths.

You see stories like this nearly every day. It's absolutely appalling, and I have no idea how it's being allowed to happen nor why it would happen in the first place. Regardless of how you feel about immigration, these are innocent children. No one can justify this, and yet we're (Americans) under an administration that's enabling it. You can say I'm overreacting or being too dramatic or whatever else, but history won't be kind to Trump's America.

It's only going to get worse the longer these immoral fucks sit in office.

I don't think you're overreacting, this is just the latest example of how ordinary things like basic human decency are becoming meaningless since Donald Trump took office. Trump is a narcissistic sociopath who frequently shows how uncaring he is by his words or actions in such ways that many people who're just as callous and bigoted as he is are encouraged by him and voicing the same opinions. For instance, they're fine with essentially holding migrant children hostage as a means of getting to their parents so they can be deported, but they'd raise holy hell if the shoe was on the other foot. I mean, if they were visiting a foreign country with their children and say the parents happened to match the description of two terrorists posing as a married couple wanted by Interpol, were detained, were separated from their kids until however long it took for the mistake to be rectified, then you know...you just know they'd rant about it afterwards until their throats were sore. So many of the supporters of the completely immoral toilet bugs we have in power seem to lack any empathy towards anyone who isn't like them, yet they'd expect the world to stop spinning for them if they suddenly found themselves in the same situation.

It's honestly sad how normal certain things are under Trump. Just in the last week:

- Many republicans didn't support the 9/11 victim fund.
- Trump said he would conspire with Russia to win in 2020.
- A journalist accused Trump of sexual assault. Trump claimed he's never met her even though a photo of the two surfaced.
- Trump approved a missile strike against Iran but aborted it at the last minute.
- Trump threatened a Time Magazine reporter with prison time over a photo.
- Trump mocked Biden for promising to cure cancer and then did the exact same thing.
- Trump lied about the percentage of women who voted for him.
- Trump took credit for passing a veterans bill that Obama actually passed.

All of that and a lot more happened in the past week. The worst part? I'm not surprised at all.

Remember last week when Trump magically saved the country from the Mexican tariffs (that he created) by pulling a piece of paper out of his pocket? Probably not, because all those things have happened in the last nine days or so. That is the case every single week and it's so tiring. I would love being able to go two days without some scandal but Trump wouldn't get his precious attention and that's not what he's about.

Gladly. It's entirely possible to be outraged at more than one thing. Saudi is fucking scum. So is Trump.

What's your point?

Many people who criticize Saudi ignore the US's problems.

Exactly my point. There's kids dying in concentration camps and the argument is that they're not concentration camps. This has been going on since Bush yet no one seems to give a shit. It's an outrage for a couple of weeks and then back to whatever else.

And it doesn't look like it's going to be better. The Dems infighting will let Trump get a second term. Fucking joke.
