I'm assuming this is a no DQ match, it might as well be as the only way this is probably gonna work is if they pull out all the stops here.
Taker showing up last night on Raw was completely unexpected and I'm hoping that it'll be explained in the coming weeks why he helped Reigns out.
I'm also wondering if this could have some sort of longer term implications. There are reports that Shane's feud with Roman Reigns is expected to continue to SummerSlam, which makes me curious as to whether or not WWE might give Taker a match with Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam as well. If that is indeed the plan, then we'll still have another month or so to endure Shane running around all over the place but a match between Taker and McIntyre is sort of intriguing. McIntyre NEEDS the rub, in my opinion, as he's lost a lot of steam over the past few months jobbing out to Roman Reigns and being Shane's heavy. A win over someone of Taker's status at a big event like SummerSlam could be a big step in getting McIntyre back on the path he should be on rather than babysitting Vince's bastard man-child.
As for this match itself, it's hard to say as it depends on where WWE goes with this. If the heels win, maybe McIntyre could score some sort of fluke win over Taker, or a win that could look like a fluke, Taker's old school pride is bent out of shape and it leads to a SummerSlam bout. If Shane scores a pin over Taker, I'm dropkicking my desktop out the friggin' window.
