I can get behind this. Styles is a fine face, but his heel run on Smackdown in 2016 was on a different level.

I'm a bit mixed on the turn.

There are reports going around that the reformation of the Club is a very strong sign that Gallows and Anderson have re-signed with WWE. Reports from earlier in the year stated that they'd turned down lucrative contracts as they were unhappy with how they were being used and were planning to leave when their contracts expired, which I believe was either September or October, but that may have changed. According to PWInsider, new terms have been reached but the papers may not officially be signed just yet.
I have a feeling that they'll be sticking around and will be more of a force going forward. If they were leaving, then it makes no real sense why WWE would form reform their alliance with AJ Styles as their current deals are set to expire in only a few months. Once the brand split disappears completely, which you can feel will happen once SmackDown begins airing on Fox, maybe they could bring Balor into the fold and complete the circle, so to speak.
As for Styles' heel turn, I'm fine with it. Styles is good as a face or a heel but if WWE is finally getting serious about Gallows and Anderson, I think having a heel Styles associating with them is better all around. G&A are a good, solid team, they're hardly the epitome of greatness in my opinion but they're a good team with a lot of history and the tag team scene can always use another good team.

With AEW been the darling of wrestling right now it's a smart move to reform one of the biggest factions from outside the organisation.

Optimist: This is a smart move by the WWE. Gallows and Anderson are a solid team, and pushing them won't be a risk.
Devil's Advocate: The WWE is rearranging the chairs on the Titanic. It won't be long before they end up like AWA did.

Styles by himself is a better face. With the team, he should be a fine heel. Again, all depends on the booking. With his history though, I doubt theyĆ¢??ll be pushovers.

Gallows and Anderson have re-signed with WWE, so this is long-term.
