This match is also official with a stipulation to be put "in writing", meaning a contract signing segment will probably be on next week's SmackDown Live, that Kevin Owens will quit if he loses.

This will probably be a good match overall. Say what you want to about Shane, and we do, but the guy's not the least bit afraid to take a big bump and he'll definitely take a couple here. After all, hardly a match goes by without Shane going Coast to Coast and putting someone through the announce table via the elbow from the top rope. As long as Owens wins, I'm good.

Will be more competitive than it should be. Can't see Shane losing as quickly as he should.

I'm liking the outspoken, brash face K.O. He really didn't have to change much and it simply works as a face. Garbage if he loses.

I'd rather see someone besides Shane get the spot, but this should be good if Owens wins.

As long as he loses, that's what really matters. I'd be happy if they went with the Owens vs. Ziggler formula, wouldn't bother me one bit, but as long as Shane loses then it's all good with me.

Allegedly, Owens isn't going by any script for his promos. He's been given bullet points, a list of stuff to make sure he talks about during his promos, but it's him actually coming up with what he's saying rather than Vince, for all intents and purposes, telling him what to say.

I'm hoping this is sort of the start to the end of Shane going away for a while. As with Baron Corbin, WAY too much time and energy has been put on Shane at the expense of...well a lot of people on both Raw and SmackDown rosters. I'm hoping we'll see the end of Shane for a good long while, forever as a wrestler as far as I'm concerned, at Survivor Series.
