Some news coming out of WWE is that NXT will have a presence at the Royal Rumble next month. Reports are that WWE will be using 10 wrestlers from Raw, 10 from SmackDown and 10 from NXT to comprise both the men's and women's Royal Rumble matches. I'm assuming that the NXT side will be made up of 5 from NXT and 5 from NXT UK, especially since they'll all be around for the Worlds Collide special that happens the night before.
If done right, it could be a lot of fun going this route. It'd be cool seeing a field of mostly upper level stars and rising talent in these matches as it'd give more of a "anybody can win" feeling to the Rumble. After all, the only point of having guys like Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins or Mandy Rose and the IIconics in the match other than to be used as filler space to be eliminated by a big name or by someone who's on their way up.
