So since the cool kidz club Elite can't play nice, Punk will return to be the main act on a new show on Saturdays on TNT, which will foster an unofficial brand split.

Apparently TNT is paying 50 million dollars for this new show.

Discuss.

Why divide your audience for a new show to placate your cry baby upper management?

Khan is the boss and he should tell them they're sharing a show with Punk and they'll be working with him too.

Well, yea. Ive said this the whole time.

But that would directly force Khan to be a boss instead of buddies with his talent, and historical data is mounting that says that's very unlikely

Don't worry. Like all good carnies Omega, the Bucks and Punk will realise they left millions of dollars on the table in about 10 years and come back to do the match when they're all much older, much less athletic and much less over (https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=363136085344352).

Fans will go mild.

It will allow AEW to give more screen time to their top wrestlers. AEW's roster is currently very large and many wrestlers are lacking screen time. The brand split will allow AEW to give each wrestler more time to shine.
