Yeah, probably. If aliens showed up on their doorstep of your average, everyday person about to shoot them with some sort of ray that turns them inside out, I'd be willing to bet that Joe Blow's last thoughts would be something like "Wait...am I on TV or somethin'?!?!?!"

I remember a Montana Helicopter one doing the rounds 2 years ago but it was by a youtube channel that specifically specialises in fake UFO videos.

I'm always amused by people who act as though "believing" in intelligent alien life is crazy... and then they go to church.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if alien intelligence looked at us like we look at an amoeba.

If a race of beings exists out there that's capable of interstellar travel at speeds that could allow them to traverse the entire length of our solar system in a matter of hours, then they have a level of intelligence that we can't remotely approach. Scientists the caliber of Newton, Einstein and Hawking would be like Forrest Gump to these people. In many ways, we're so friggin' backwards and our tendency towards violence and conflict almost seems bred into us to such a degree that they might think they were doing the universe a favor by eradicating us.
