It looks like Del Rio has burned another two bridges with TNA and Lucha Underground by no showing a co event. They then said screw him and released Del Rio shortly after. My question is....how is this guy getting so many second chances? I have no doubt he's going to turn up in WWE or ROH in a year and everything will be forgotten. I hope Vince does hire him and puts a chicken hat on Del Rio to declare him as Chicken Head Man. If he can last a month with that gimmick without showing a bad attitude then move him up to the pre show.

I'd never hire the guy, he's a good talent yes but it looks to me like he's a bad employee that puts himself over everything else. Not worth it.

I'm going to no-show work tomorrow and hope a larger gaming company hires me. Cheers for the inspiration, Alberto.

But no seriously, fuck that guy. Everything WWE could possibly want in del Rio they already have and more with Almas.

Does/Did he get paid in advance before working the events? If so, that's a real dick move.

I think Del Rio should just call it quits. He's 40 years old, he doesn't need the money and his reputation is, and really has been for a while if you think about it, pretty much in the toilet. I get that some wrestlers are obviously gonna have problems with the promoters of the companies they work with sometimes, that's just how it is, but this is something different. Wherever Del Rio goes, whether it's WWE, ROH, Impact, LU or AAA, he always tries to pass it off as if it's everyone else who has the problem rather than him. He's the Mexican version of Shane Douglas. Del Rio's biggest problem is that he feels he should be a much bigger star than he actually is and is holds it against anyone he works for that he isn't. Del Rio wants to be THE centerpiece of whatever company he works for, he wants to be treated like he's a god, main eventing shows for World Championships and cashing big checks while doing it. That's just about what everyone who laces up a pair of boots wants at one time or another but very, very few manage to achieve.

There's a much bigger upside with Almas. He's younger, he's more athletic, doesn't have the attitude problem and is very well known for having a strong work ethic. There's nothing Del Rio brings to the table that Almas can't do all the better, especially if they keep Zelina Vega as his mouthpiece.

He doesn't deserve anymore chances. As far as i'm concerned, he's done. He's ruined both his runs in WWE, he's ruined his run with ROH and now he's ruined his run in TNA. What do you do next? Go to NJPW and screw up there? Does NJPW even WANT Del Rio?

And in the fact that Del Rio is getting there in age and you have someone who honestly should've retired two years ago. It's clear the guy doesn't give a shit about wrestling anymore and it shows. Face it, he's done in the mainstream and wrestling is better off because of it.
