Bloody hell. Seriously...

So what now? The impossible has happened - Brock Lesnar is still the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Champion. Isn't he leaving? Isn't he going to UFC? Isn't Roman the chosen one? Haven't we kept them apart for three years to lead to his final coronation? Are we in the darkest timeline? Answers may very well be forthcoming tonight or not at all, but we are likely to begin our journey towards the end of Brock's reign and it may very well feature Roman in a prominent role so this one may not be over...much to the delight of many.

Meanwhile! Braun Strowman and a ten year old child are the new RAW Tag Team Champions, Nia Jax proved it's good to not be like most girls and overcame the bullying of Alexa Bliss, Seth Rollins became the Night King to become Intercontinental Champion, Asuka's undefeated streak ended at the hands of Charlotte shockingly, Bray Wyatt joined the Woken Family, procuring the Andre trophy for Matt Hardy and Ronda Rousey won via MDK (that's murder, death, kill) on Stephanie McMahon feat. Kurt Angle and Triple H.

So where does that leave us tonight? Expect an eventful show for the 'hottest crowd of the year' - debuts, returns, title changes, oh my! So sit back, relax and enjoy the aplenty developments!

Why do people think Brock will lose the title tonight? He's not had a match on tv since he came back in 2012 so he's not going to start now.

Why do people think Brock will lose the title tonight? He's not had a match on tv since he came back in 2012 so he's not going to start now.

The rumour was that his contract was up, so him not losing at Wrestlemania seemingly left few other options.

Other than he has actually re-signed, of course.

JHOLCOMB22
04-09-2018, 03:21 PM
Well Brock has resigned and will defend at the Greatest Royal Rumble against Reigns. So no defense tonight

Alright... let's do this. I think we're going to see some real shit happen tonight. Last night left many of us scratching our heads in more ways than one. Returns. Questions answered. Stories will progress. This should be good.

Didn't expect Steph to kick us off. I want Ronda to break the other arm now.

Yeah they fall right behind people that cuss and swear in public in front of kids. They're already the worst. They'll confirm they're the worst when they kick into a "CM Punk" chant within a half hour.

Ronda will get built to go against Charlotte. Nia and Charlotte will switch in the shake-up. Smackdown is a show full of fresh matches for Nia and last time Charlotte was on Raw, she was a heel so it'll be somewhat fresh for her too.

Bray's too talented to not have a spot in the WWE. But he's definitely relevant again. Would you have thought you'd say that sentence 2-3 years ago??? "Matt Hardy made Bray Wyatt relevant again."

If it's the "low point" of the show, then that's still pretty good. Besides, maybe this is also a way of introducing Jeff Hardy into the title picture. He's gotta do somethin' since Matt ditched him for Brother Bray.

Man that's a tough call. Finn seems like a merchandise goldmine. Rollins just got a lot of that momentum back he had even though he probably is a better heel. Or maybe nothing happens and it's just a star studded match before they likely switch up the IC/US Titles in next week. Who does Jinder or Rollins have left to face on the brand they're on now? Almost nobody.

I had so much fun with Mania and what the outcomes for just those feuds and matches would be that I totally forgot about surprise returns. Lashley! How good. Authors of Pain, how stacked is the tag division right now. How funny would it be if they just got sent to SD last week. Angle in kayfabe would be pissed. Can’t say I’m much of a fan for Ember Moon but at the end of the day it helps the division. Next week is going to be fun. As much as I want a Jeff Hardy singles run, I hope he stays on he same brand as his brother, just to hopefully keep him on the right track.

I'm so excited for Lashley's return. I can't wait to see him wrestle and have a feud. I just went back and watched some his matches from WWE and TNA. He had a pretty good match with Cena at the GAB 2007. His TNA matches, though, we're a lot better. Especially when he faced Angle. His mic work has improved also. He's not great, but he's more than capable of being taken seriously. Add to it that he's had a successful MMA career as well and Bobby Lashley can be huge if the WWE plays it's cards right. We'll have to wait and see.

I'm genuinely excited about wrestling again. What with Rousey, Lashley, D Bry getting cleared, and many other things I'm looking forward to watching wrestling again. It's been awhile since I've been able to say that.

As usual, this could be the most interesting show of the year. Tonight could be filled with major angles, returns and surprises, all of which could become big deals in a hurry. Or it could be all about Roman Reigns, who managed to not win the Universal Title from Brock Lesnar last night. Let’s get to it.
