I wouldn't use that as a basis for a fact.
To be more clear, itâ??s not a fact that Daniel Bryan has never had a 5 star match and John Laurinaitis has. As we know, wrestling is subjective, and thereâ??s no fully objective way to rate matches.
However it is a fact that Meltzer himself never gave Daniel Bryan a 5 star rating but did to John Laurinaitis, a man known to most newer fans for being just a boring on-screen authority figure who also had a role backstage.
Laurinaitis was actually a pretty good in ring performer, he inovated a couple of moves while in Japan, he just didn't have an ounce of personality in his body. Outside of that, yeah, Meltzer's ratings are just opinions. It isn't like Bryan's lack of a Meltzer five star match is keeping him from getting a job or keeping people from claiming him as one of the best wrestlers of this generation.

The reason why Steamboat never won a WWE Championship is because he refused to turn heel. Hogan said that he'd gladly drop the WWE Championship to Rickie if he turned heel. Rickie said no because he is a "family man", and didn't want to turn against the grain.

Well, there's no accounting for taste. Hell, Uncle Dave once awarded the Sheepherders, AKA the Bushwhackers, his "coveted" 5 star rating in a bout they had against the Fantastics in the Jim Crockett, Sr. Memorial Cup tournament back in '86 or '87.

I've read that Vince wanted to give Scott Steiner a major singles push, but Steiner turned it down as it meant no longer teaming with his brother Rick.
It's easy to forget that Scott Steiner was once a fairly reasonable human being who didn't wish death, destruction and pretty much any form of ruination on anyone he didn't/doesn't get along with. It's also easy forget that he didn't always have unbridled hatred directed towards WWE.

On the June 23rd 2003 episode of RAW, Kane broke a mirror out of frustration due to knowing that he'll have to unmask later on in the show.
Breaking a mirror is seven years bad luck. Here's a series of examples of how Kane doomed himself:
Kane spends the next seven years unable to win a major match, or earn a major singles world championship. He took a clean loss to Sylvain Grenier, he had his feud with Shane involving testicular shock torture, his fake wedding with Lita that involved a baby punt, Kane and Big Show became tag team champions by accident at Taboo Tuesday only to lose the belts to The Spirit Squad, Kane went on his rampage that was a shameless plug for "See No Evil", Imposter Kane ran amuk (not really), Kane lost to Umaga in a "loser leaves RAW" match, Kane lost to Khali at WrestleMania 23 and The Great American Bash of that year (2007), Kane's team was victorious against *ahem* the team of Big Daddy V at Survivor Series 2007, Kane defeated Chavo Guerrero for the ECW Championship and promptly lost it to Mark Henry.
At the first Money in the Bank PPV on July 18th 2010, Kane won the Money in the Bank ladder match. Kane cashed in the briefcase later that same night, and defeated Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship. This win made Kane the first wrestler in history to have been WWE, World Heavyweight, and ECW champion. This was also the first time anyone successfully cashed in their briefcase on the same night that they earned it. It was also the fastest cash-in in WWE history at 47 minutes.
Don't break mirrors!

This fact has expired.
Daniel Bryan's notorious 18-second loss to Sheamus is the longest match losing a WWE world championship he's had. The title was stripped from him two other times (one in kayfabe, the other due to injury) and his match against Randy Orton when Orton cashed in his MITB privilege was 8 seconds.

I think it was that documentary.
I've heard the some form of goodbye bit as well. From what I've gathered it was supposed to be some form of mutual respect, like a post match reluctant handshake. Not a full blown four way hug.

Of the 38 stars in NXT, 3 (Fish, Ohno, Baszler).

I don't know if anyone's posted this, not reading through all the various 170+ posts so sorry if I'm stepping on toes.
I've been reading back through Ric Flair's autobiography the past few weeks, "To Be The Man" and came across a pretty cool fact that I'd forgotten all about.
This involves a wrestler by the name of George Burrell Woodin, better known to wrestling fans as Mr. Wrestling. A little background on Woodin is that he was a highly qualified amateur wrestler in college, capturing the Amateur Athletic Union Championship in 1955 and 1957, plus the Big Ten Conference Championship in 1958 and 1959. In the guise of Mr. Wrestling, which he began wrestling as while wearing a mask & white singlet not too long after his professional wrestling career began in 1962, Woodin was a star pretty much everywhere he went, though the man was essentially a god in the Florida, Georgia and Mid-Atlantic territories I know I'm rambling on a bit but now I'm getting to the point of things: Woodin was involved in the same 1975 plane crash Ric Flair, Johnny Valentine and Bob Bruggers. Woodin was the only babyface wrestler on the flight and was adamant about protecting kayfabe. He was injured during the crash, but not nearly to the degree as the others and after being taken to the hospital, he told the staff his real name and that he was a promoter and not a wrestler, and they didn't know as he'd wrestled under a mask for virtually all this time. However, rumors began circulating that Woodin was indeed on the plane and this was during the days when heels and babyfaces didn't associate outside of the locker room. Rather than risk exposing pro wrestling and breaking kayfabe, Woodin returned to the ring to wrestle two weeks after the crash and was in extreme pain. However, it preserved the business as no reasonable person would believe that Mr. Wrestling would be back in the ring less than two weeks after being in a plane crash that crippled three other wrestlers and eventually killed the pilot of the plane. Flair expressed admiration for Woodin in his book by saying that Woodin, who passed away in 2002, "was more than just Mr. Wrestling that day, but was the man who saved wrestling."
So basically, the man defied doctors' orders and put himself in harm's way by returning to the ring just to protect the mystique of the business. Gotta say that was a pretty badass move on Mr. Wrestling's part and took a level of dedication to pro wrestling that just doesn't exist anymore.

I still think it's crazy how Bayley is the most accomplished out of the 4 horsewomen. Sasha just needs the SD women's title to join her. Charlotte and Becky both need the Women's tag team titles to join Bayley.

Kind of narrow perspective for accomplishments. Bayley and Sasha aren?t even close to the levels of Becky and Charlotte.
Your argument basically says that anyone who?s held the World/WWE championship more than 4 times is more accomplished than Shawn Michaels.

Indeed, though Bayley has won more than the others while Charlotte has the worst record outside of Sasha.
Fire Marshall Bill

Charlotte can afford it, as she?s been pushed at or near the top so long. Becky?s run at the top is more akin to Ultimate Warrior?s. Brief, but hard to find a woman who was more over. Hell, at one point I think most would agree she was more over than anyone in the business at the time. It?ll be interesting to see if she can get back to or near that level if she ever comes back.
