From wrestlinginc.com

Despite early traffic issues through the ticket site, it looks like All In is already sold out after going on sale at 4pm ET. Matt Jackson tweeted "We did it. #AllIn" earlier today. Initial prices ranged from $28-$153 and it looks like the secondary market is already up and running for the event. Ticket sales on StubHub are ranging from $135-$1,250. According to F4WOnline.com, one of the event organizers said tickets sold out in about 30 minutes. They also noted this is the first U.S. independent promotion to ever achieve 10k+ tickets sold.

Remarkable. Granted that secondary market and scalpers probably ate up a small fraction of those tickets, but that remains a testament to the drawing power of the event. I remain not a fan of the Bucks, but I never begrudged their success. Now, I'm left with no choice to admire it.

Hoping this gets streamed, because one way or another this is a special event.

I can honestly say that I'm not at all surprised. They've had lots of time to plan out and hype the event, almost a year now if I'm not mistaken, and people have known for quite some time that a lot of the biggest and most familiar names known to American wrestling fans, outside of WWE, would be involved. We've known from the beginning that Cody, the Young Bucks, Marty Scurll, Kenny Omega, Okada and others would be part of the card. Dave Meltzer has been talking about it a lot and the whole "bet" that was made in which he bet that they couldn't do it was all a work, in my opinion, they've used social media to constantly talk about it to one degree or another.

Is it an "indie" show? I suppose you could technically call it that but the headliners of the show like the Bucks, Omega, Cody, etc. aren't run of the mill "indie guys." The Bucks have been one of the top tag teams in all of wrestling for several years now, like 'em or not. The only things that could've made Kenny Omega's 2017 all the more epic were if he'd won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, which I surmise will happen next month, or if he'd come to WWE and taken either the WWE or Universal Championship, Cody has generated nothing but buzz since popping up in ROH; whether some have liked or hated him, he's been constantly talked about. So yeah, it's not like this thing was going to be headlined by Josh Woods or Cheeseburger.

It's definitely something to brag about, however, as this is the first non WWE wrestling show to sell that many tickets since WCW folded.

Very, very impressive achievement. I could not be happier for those guys. I hope the show goes well.

I wonder how many tickets scalpers bought.

I wonder how many tickets scalpers bought.

Since they were cheap to begin with, probably not as many as the average scalper does with WWE.

Good on these guys for doing what they set out to do and creating some buzz.

I dunno, probably quite a few. Check the markup between initial ticket prices and secondary market tickets in the OP. I have to imagine scalpers see that value too. I also have to imagine it being a wrestling show in Chicago means something to scalpers.

But once more, saying so doesn't undermine the success of the event and sales.

Some more cool little tidbits.

-Rey Mysterio is ALL IN: What's cool about this piece of news is that Rey was announced as taking part in the event during the press conference that coincided with the ticket launch. Bucks and Cody were confident in their event to the point where they didn't even announce their biggest name from the West. Makes you wonder if any other big names make a surprise appearance.

Cody to challenge for the NWA Title: The current champion is Nick Aldis (fka Magnus in TNA). A Rhodes booking themselves in a championship match. Dream would be proud. :lmao: I don't follow the indies all that much, but I've always enjoyed Cody (to much online-hostility XD), and I held Magnus in some esteem when I watched TNA. Should Magnus hold onto the title, could be a great match.

Weigh In and Press Conference to be hosted day before event

Other wrestlers announced (outside Bullet Club): Matt Cross/Son of Havok, Tessa Blanchard, Chelsea Green, Steve Amell (yup, Arrow is back in a ring), Jay Lethal, Rey Fenix, Impact Wrestling Champion Pentagon Jr, IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada.

Starrcast the indie equivalent to Fan Axxess with lots of big names, including Nash, Hall, Lawler. Not to mention that One Hour Tees will be hosting a meet and greet with CM Punk.

Fucking absurd!

Must say, I wasn't really sure if it was possible. But I don't know much about such events.

Still, it's a great achievement. So, Kudos.

I wonder how many tickets scalpers bought.

According to Cody, The Bucks and other sources, only about 300. Which out of 10K is rather good. I saw they said they're really disappointed at scalpers marking the tickets up already to over $1000 but knowing their was nothing they could do about it.

And this will happen in September? Remarkable. How many seats are we talking?

Glad for Cody! This is really big. Maybe future events can do those numbers as well.

This is fantastic for wrestling in general, furthermore given that the NWA title is involved. I love the idea of the NWA name gaining a little cred back and its belts being defended on large non-WWE shows.

To my mind, there is still a ton of time for WWE to get the clever idea to pick up streaming distrubution rights to this show. Its a way to engage non-fans and pick up at least a couple few 100K new subscribers, especially if they are the only place to stream it live. The show is obviously zero threat to them, since its not associated with an actual promotion, and they could do a very simple three camera shoot. The idea would pay for itself within the first thousand new subscribers they pick up.

All in all, I have to say that the card isn't really impressing me all that much.

NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Nick Adlis vs. Cody - This is listed as the main event and it's basically Cody taking on Mr. Mickie James for a championship that's irrelevant.

Singles Match: Kazuchicka Okada vs. Marty Scrull - The first of two matches that I'm interested in.

Singles Match: Stephen Amell vs. Christopher Daniels - I guess it's okay for the indies to do actor vs. wrestler matches but they jump all over WWE for doing it.

Singles Match: Hangman Page vs. Joe Janela - One of the hanger-on members of the Bullet Club against someone I've never heard of.

Fatal Fourway Match: Tessa Blanchard vs. Chelsea Green vs. Madison Rayne vs. Britt Baker - The only other match I'm at all interested in as it's got three of the top females in wrestling, but I have no idea who Britt Baker is.

Six Man Tag Team Match: Rey Mysterio, Bandido & Fenix vs. The Young Bucks & Kota Ibushi - I'm guessing this will be the big spotfest of the night.

Zero Hour (AKA All In Kickoff Show): The Over Budget Battle Royal - All In's version of the ATGMBR only, I presume, without a trophy and comprised of 15 men.

Zero Hour Tag Team Match: The Briscoes vs. Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky -

Pentagon vs Kenny Omega (which is what many are assuming will be announced) will be an absolute classic if it happens. That really is the only suitable main event at this point.

That 6 man tag is going to be a ton of fun.

I love the card. Wish Okada was facing someone other than Scrull, who I find disgustingly overrated, but outside of that... I have no complaints and I'm sure Okada will deliver regardless.

This will be the first wrestling pay-per-view I've bought since 2007 (I've been a WWE Network subscriber since day 1 but I don't consider that buying PPVs).

I was feeling like Kenny Omega will face Pentagon. I hope that it happens.

If not that, Golden Lovers Vs. Lucha Bros would be a great one.

I read somewhere that the winner of that battle royal will face Jay Lethal for ROH World Title.

Yeah that is the case. It's nice to see a match like that battle royal have some real stakes even if i tend to doubt Lethal drops the belt at All In. Lethal is always good for a fun match.

Yeah, that announcement came out later in the day several hours after I'd made my comment, so that at least gives the battle royal some legit purpose.

Yeah, I agree with that. If you're expecting a show with generally solid wrestling matches all around, then you'll get your money's worth. If someone expects it to be some super epic that sets the industry on its ear and be some major show of the year contender just because it has Cody, the Bucks & Okada on the card and it's the first indie show in American history to sell 10,000+ tickets, then someone is aiming much too high.

In a potentially unfortunate turn of events, Nick Jackson of the Bucks has been fighting off a major flu in these days before the event, putting his participation in the event in question. The show must go on and I have no doubt the show can happen without one half of the Bucks, but that could be a huge blow to morale for everyone involved. C'est la vie.

Will anyone be tuning in? I'm heading to a buddy's place, and while I don't miss paying traditional PPV fees, a bunch of friends chipping in a few bucks for a pay-per-view is unexpectedly nostalgic. ;)

Also good news for NJPW subscribers, the show will be broadcast on their network, as annoubced earlier this week,
