Its the most exciting time of the year for wrestling fans as we officially begin the Road to WrestleMania(TM)! And as always, we're kicking it off with arguably the most surefire entertaining night of the year; the Royal Rumble! 30 elite competitors bring in their blood, sweat and tears as they look to secure their spot in infamy by surpassing the gauntlet before them. If only there were a name for that... Of course, we're all about equal opportunities in 2019 as once more there is a Royal Rumble for both male and female singles divisions! Two Rumble matches, a clearer indication of who is getting their chance to seize glory on the "Grandest Stage of Them All(TM)", plus a great deal of speculation, hearsay, ecstasy, maybe a dash of disappointment, but overall a fun time to be had.

This has been a really good show overall. I even grudgingly liked the SD Tag Team Championship match as I thought it was going to be some goofy, comedic nonsense rather than a serious match. I'd have still preferred they didn't go this route as part of the overall set up for Miz vs. Shane, if that is indeed the plan, but at least they didn't portray Miz & Shane as some sort of goofballs who weren't taking things seriously.

Bryan vs. Styles will go at least 20 minutes and if it's true that Lesnar was anxious to work with Finn Balor, they might have an actual match that will also go to, at least, the 20 minute mark. So yeah, I'd say the Royal Rumble will start around 10:45 pm EST.

The fact this match got anything approaching a decent reaction from the fans at all is a testament to how good Bryan and Styles are.

Rumble is going to struggle with this format for a few years, I suspect. Adding a second Rumble was the right move, but planning a whole card is going to take A+ booking for years on end.
