It's been officially announced at WWE.com that the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal will again take place at WrestleMania this year. The first participant has also been announced and it's Braun Strowman, which means this bout will almost certainly take place on the main card rather than the kickoff show. No word yet on whether or not there'll be a women's battle royal, but there's still roughly 3 weeks to go and the odds are high that it'll happen.
The match is basically Strowman's to lose, not that winning it means a damn thing,, and he quite possibly will lose it due to some sort of shenanigans pulled by the two guys from SNL.

Braun has been mishandled so much this past year I'm starting to think this is his level now.

They've missed their shot with Braun Strowman at the top of the card. Time to rebuild him.
At this point in all honesty this is where he belongs, being the focal point of a (likely) Main Card Battle Royal. Plus if they use it like they have in the past, they can maybe help rebuild him a bit. Matt Hardy benefited from it last year (it debuted the Deleter of Worlds team), Baron Corbin benefited from it (he debuted winning it). Hell they tried for a week or two for Mojo Rawley before realizing that it's Mojo Rawley.
Rebuild by dominating the ATGMBR. Then maybe have him turn heel on Finn Balor on RAW after Mania and he could be climbing up the card again in no time. In all honesty I wouldn't be surprised if they do push him post Mania, as Rollins will need heels to defend against. He'll feud with Drew, but he'll need a second person to feud with, and Strowman would work as a monster challenger.

It gets everyone on the card, but do wrestlers really care about being in a meaningless Battle Royal?

Haven't had any interest in this match since WM 30. I get it, guys get on the card. That's fair. Still, I have zero interest in this.

They really seem to always bottle it with Braun this time of year. He's lost a ton of momentum since turning heel last August, even more since jobbing to Lesnar at Crown Jewel and since the injury he suffered in November, hasn't had any traction at all. It's his match to win in the beginning of a rebuilding phase for him, but I really wouldn't be shocked if they pulled a surprise winner, like a returning Bray Wyatt or something akin to that.

WWE doesn't even care about it, Braun mentioned it on Raw and that was really the first time it was mentioned. Talk about a crap build for the battle royale.

I'm glad Braun is in the Battle Royal. I thought for sure that the SNL duo were going to face Braun and Nicolas.

Why would they throw two untrained celebs in against a monster like Nicholas?

Thanks for putting this in my head. Now I'm legitimately hoping that Nicholas makes a backstage appearance with Strowman and the SNL guys.

I want one of the SNL guys to win it.
Would get more exposure thereby making it more meaningful than some wrestler who isn't going to benefit from it. Or even mention winning it.
Let's really put that payday talk to task.

Braun should win it by overturning the ring.
