Someone named Thomas Hall wrote about this. Never heard of him before.

Anyways WWE is considering bringing the "Big Money Matt" character from TNA for Matt to use while Jeff is injured.

Well it's better than nothing, right? Obviously Matt isn't going to be a big star, but it doesn't hurt to try something new.

Why not? He's already done most things he can with the woken/broken gimmick in WWE so that would allow him to be used. He's a great veteran and hasn't outstayed his welcome. I see him doing a lot of booking stuff as well.

I think Hardy is someone who'd be better along the lines of creative and booking. He's 44 years old and has long since gone as far in WWE as he going, so I'd rather see the extra time go to someone younger. Of course, that applies to so many on the roster these days, there are something like over 100 wrestlers on the Raw and SD rosters too much probably by a good 30 people, at least. Of course, the main roster is in such a mess right now that using Hardy or not probably won't make a bit of difference.

Make him an 80's surfer dude who is out of touch with modern society.

Matt is an IWC darling. This might not help the ratings, but it will most certainly look like it's working for the live crowds and the Twitterverse.
