It was an idiotic concept when they did this with the Hardcore Championship back in the day and, in my opinion, it's even more of one now given that just about everyone from backstage personnel to wrestlers to fans are really just frustrated with Vince's decisions in WWE. I sometimes wonder if Vince doesn't make some of his decisions just to screw with fans he knows he'll piss off with some of the stuff he does. Whereas more and more fans want a more "serious" wrestling product, Vince continues to go back to questionable booking choices and more corny, sports entertainment nonsense like this ridiculous jobber championship.
