Loved Vader when I was a kid.
Scar's theme song taught kids how to goosestep. Gotta go with that.
Edge. Even though he was head bashing people with chair shots like crazy. He was just the cool kid in the table.
Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.
Rock circa 1998.
SES era Punk
Mine was probably Macho Man Randy Savage. I just really dug Savage's voice during his interviews and even though they seem kinda silly now, to some degree, the guy's voice made me look forward to him whenever he came on my TV and it was all the better when he got into the ring.
Kurt Angle when I first started watching in late 2005, early 2006. I have no idea why.
Papa Shango.
Mine, of course, would be the Undertaker. Right before he went full on satanic with the Ministry. There was that whole storyline about him and Kane being in cahoots and it was very intriguing. I remember thinking that if he and Kane were a team then they'd be unstoppable. Then they had that triple threat match where they both pinned Austin, then they broke McMahon's ankle. The whole thing was awesome and led right in to 'Taker and the Ministry and I was crazy for that as well.
I can't believe I'm the first to mention Steve Austin. His stuff with Bret in 96/97 was so fantastic, I found myself rooting for the bad guy.
Proper full blown heel? Not someone in the middle of a face turn?
Kurt Angle winning the WWF title for the first time.
Going two tiered with my answer.
When I was very young, and before I knew that wrestling was a work, it was Dino Bravo. It was an extremely shallow reason, but he was billed from Montreal.
After learning the truth, it was the Hart Foundation.
The Narcissist Lex Luger.
I both loved and hated him when he was in WCW before coming to the WWF. I couldn't back him in his heel runs there because he would feud with my favorite (Sting). However, when he came to the WWF, he looked more awesome than ever and I just didn't understand why he was a bad guy, so I rooted for him in his feud with Mr. Perfect.
When Lex turned face and slammed Yoko though, I was beyond thrilled lol. I still think it's BS that he didn't win the title at Summerslam.
HHH during his contract signing with Austin before No Way Out 2001. Stipulation was if Austin touched HHH he lost his 'Manka title shot and if HHH touched Austin he was suspended for 6 months. Both guys signs the contract then boom HHH beats the shit out of Austin. Vince tells HHH he's suspended only to reveal he never signed the contract.
Genius.
Whenever Hart was heel v HBK but I think that was built for Canada/UK to like him.
The most genuine was RTC though. What a group!
