I still don't get why Watson fell to 12.

Who knows wtf goes on in NFL front offices. I mean, the Bears moved up a spot to draft trash. Websites like to do ?redrafts? 3-5 seasons later. This one is going to have a lot of quarterback swaps in it.

A good question is what Matt Nagy would?ve been able to pull off with Mahomes. He?s a disciple of Reid, but not Reid. Plus, KC has crazy good weapons on offense. Chicago, not so much.

If I recall back to that draft, I think teams were worried about Watson?s skills translating to the NFL. It?s getting harder to judge QBs these days because the college offenses are still quite different from the NFL.

Nick Foles has had an interesting career.

2012 - Drafted by the Eagles
2013 - Named starter. Throws 27 TDs, 2 INTs in 10 starts
2014 - Doesn't play quite as good but starts out 6-2, gets injured and misses the rest of the season
2015 - Starts 11 games with the Rams and struggles
2016 - Becomes a backup for the Chiefs, almost retires
2017 - Returns to Philly, takes over for an injured Carson Wentz, and wins the first Super Bowl in franchise history
2018 - Again takes over for an injured Carson Wentz, goes 4-1 to make the playoffs, upsets the 12-4 Bears in round one, and was a 4th down drop away from beating the Saints in round two
2019 - Signs a 4 year, $88M contract with the Jaguars, benched for 6th round rookie Gardner Minshew
2020 - Traded to the Bears and can't win the job over.... Mitch Trubisky

Speaking of Watson, he signed a 4 year extension averaging $39M. Anytime you get a QB as good as Watson, it's ALWAYS the right decision to keep him. This seems like an underpay compared to Mahomes. Now demote Bill O'Brien and hire a real GM.
