Georgia done whooped dat ass tonight.
Well we lost. Georgia was the best team this season. No doubt they deserved it.
It really sucks that we were without our top 2 WRs and CBS, but unfortunately that’s part of the game. You have to overcome injuries, and we didn’t.
Reportedly, Flores was chewing out Tua at the halftime of the Titans game because he was playing poorly. Tua said Flores "doesn't know how to talk to people."
Keep in mind everything Tua has been through:
He's fought through injuries his entire professional and college career. He played for Nick Saban, one of the most demanding coaches in football. He led a second half comeback to win the National Championship as a true freshman in his first meaningful game. Thanks to Flores mishandling the QB situation, he had to deal with a locker room who loved and still believed in Ryan Fitzpatrick. His own father would beat him with a belt if he was playing poorly.
IMO it's definitely fair to say Tua is mentally and physically tough. If he thinks you're too difficult to work with, you probably are.
Overall Alabama had a great season and I'm not too upset.
- 13-2
- Beat Tennessee, LSU, and Auburn (in a 4OT thriller that Auburn fans will remember for a long time)
- Won the SEC and Cotton Bowl
- First QB to win the Heisman, 4th Heisman under Saban
- The best player in the country, Will Anderson
- Saban again showed his willingness/ability to evolve, taking advantage of the transfer portal and NIL
Fun fact: Kirby Smart was DC at Alabama from 2007-15, helping us win 4 national championships. However he was getting HC offers as early as 2011, primarily from... Tennessee. Smart strongly considered taking the job until his alma mater Georgia finally fired Mark Richt after 2015. Thank goodness because I don't want to see Tennessee ever win a National Championship. Or a game. Or anything.
The state of Utah had more ranked teams than Florida and Texas combined.
Utah - BYU, Utah, Utah State
Texas - Baylor, Houston
Florida - None
Despite a 1-11 record, loss to Northern Arizona, and a 2021 recruiting class without a Top 1000 player, Arizona has the #1 2022 recruiting class in the Pac-12.
Perfect response from Greg McElroy. Stood up for our school. Didn't hold back but was still polite.
