I want to feel bad for the Raiders, but I just can't. Some teams get 1 1st round draft pick, maybe 2 draft picks, no. In the spring of 2019, the Raiders got 3 first round draft picks. And they struck out on all 3. As the NFL Draft begins the 2nd day, it's a reminder that not all draft picks work out as planned.
Trooper's Jets killed it last night. As a Packers fan, I like Quay Walker, that dude is a beast.
This draft was amazing. If it pans out this draft could be what helps transform the Jets into a perennial contender.
But on another note, we need to give credit to Roger Goodell for being an incredible heel.
This is what the NFL does in Vegas for the Draft:
- Roger Goodell celebrates Amazon getting the Thursday Night Football package, bringing out Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez (a Chief) to hype the first matchup Amazon has, Chiefs vs. Chargers. AFC West rivals of the Raiders. Note this was during the New Orleans Saints pick, not the Chiefs or Chargers.
- Later, the Commissioner brings out Franco Harris in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Incompletion. Who were the Stealers playing when Franco Harris caught the ball that bounced? The Raiders. At least this was during the Stealers pick.
Literally the only remotely babyface thing the Commissioner did was bringing out the Make-A-Wish kid for the Giants pick (legit that kid was really good, hyped the crowd and spoke well).
Washington football strategies:
1 - Trade for Carson Wentz
2 - Draft every DL from Alabama
Chattanooga had a player picked before Auburn and Tennessee.
2017 Alabama surpassed 2001 Miami for the most players drafted from a single roster.
