Are there any two teams more overrated right now than the Chargers and Cowboys? Damn, Rivers can throw for however many yards and his team still sucks. As for the Cowboys? Damn, Yahoo Sports spent the whole last week discussing how they were Super Bowl contenders, then how bad Jerry Jones wants to fire Jason Garrett. Fickle much?
Not a Texans fan (but a big J.J. Watt fan), but thank goodness they beat the Patriots. Now Spidey's team is the #1 seed in the AFC!
So Notre Dame is ranked 16th. They have 2 losses and 2 wins against ranked opponents (#18 Virginia on 9/28 and #23 Navy on 11/16).
Alabama is ranked 9th. They have 2 losses and only 1 win against a ranked opponent (#24 Texas A&M on 10/12).
Notre Dame was better than Alabama this year.
Your post is a great example of the bias in the polls. Sports media, particularly ESPN, has long worked to diminish Notre Dame's accomplishments because Notre Dame refuses to sign a TV contract with them. Meanwhile, ESPN owns the SEC network.
Notre Dame has beaten three legitimate Top 25 teams and their only losses have come ON THE ROAD to Georgia and Michigan, both teams ranked in the Top 20 (Georgia is #4). Alabama lost AT HOME to LSU and on the road to Auburn. Also, you're looking at teams rankings when they played them, not currently. Texas A&M is not a Top 25 team anymore and never should have been (thanks SEC bias!).
Notre Dame has wins against Va Tech (just dropped out of Top 25), Virginia (#22), Navy (#23) and USC (#24). They have three wins against current Top 25 teams (and one win against a team that just dropped out). Alabama, on the other hand, has ZERO Top 25 wins. Alabama's best win of the season was against 7-5 Texas A&M.
It's a JOKE that Alabama is still Top 10. And for Notre Dame, their ranking is at least somewhat understandable, but I still think they should be ranked higher. Three Top 25 wins is nothing to sneeze at.
Between the ACC-SEC games last week, All SEC teams won, except for South Carolina. Way to go SC. Ruining it for the rest of us.
That Ravens/49ers game cost me in Fantasy, but man I can't be mad. What a fight.
Thankfully I drafted your boy Justin Tucker! Clutch!
As for the game itself, totally dope. Baltimore's D came up big. Honestly could've gone either way, but Spidey's Ravens came through in the end.
Ole Miss has lost 8 commits today. What is going on?
Edit - They fired Matt Luke.
