Arguably the 3 most exciting football games of last weekend all happened on the same day right after another. To begin the day, #6 Oklahoma defeated #21 Texas in a shootout by erasing a 21 point first quarter deficit and benching the pre-season Heisman favorite. Then #3 Iowa defeated #4 Penn State in a defensive struggle. To end the night, Texas A&M defeated #1 Alabama on a last play FG, giving Alabama their first loss to an unranked team in 14 years.
Meanwhile perennial SEC basement dweller Kentucky dominated perennial powerhouse LSU. Wake Forest defeated Syracuse in OT for their first 6-0 start since 1944. Ole Miss went for it on 4th down 5/9 times to win a shootout over Arkansas, who's 4-2 and looks genuinely good after losing 20 consecutive SEC games. Georgia is playing the best defense played since probably 2011.
The NFL will never match the passion and excitement of CFB.
