The Suicide Squad is a surprisingly fun movie. They tried to replace Will Smith with Idris Elba, but John Cena stole the show. Margot Robbie did exactly what was as expected as Harley Quinn which is not a bad thing. The whole thing seems as if it?s a DC Legends of Tomorrow episode due to the final battle. But other than that it is very rated R, including very brief nudity. They decided to feature some minor characters that works for the plot. Stay for the end of credits.

Much better movie than the original.

I watched The Old Guard a few weeks ago and it came across like a subpar version of Highlander. There was stuff I felt they could have done which would have made it more exciting.

Watched Extraction yesterday. It was fine but felt like something I'd seen before ala a Bourne movie. I still feel Bad Times At The El Royale is one of Chris Hemsworth's best performances

Chris Hemsworth has never been better than in later Marvel films.

Was it really April since I saw something new?

I liked the exploitationey tone of The Suicide Squad. Censor is beautifully concise.

The Sparks Brothers got a few titters out of me and I actually listened to some of the music after the film - what more can you ask of a music documentary?

The Green Knight should really have been released at Christmas. Dev Patel is hunky, yes, but he's playing such a sad sack I don't know how you're supposed to masturbate to it.

Candyman needed to either be schlockier or scarier. I liked the ending.

I've got tickets to see Dune at the big IMAX. I'm not hugely excited for it - I just want a big film to yell at me and that seems just the remedy.
