If you go into Mandy expecting anything other than what you get I don't know what you were expecting.
It's either 2 or 4 stars for me. Much like Venom.

Speaking of tickets for a fiver, I'm mulling over whether to share today's flatulence - surely nothing to do with the consumption of half a kilo of sweet chilli bolognese last night - with the good people of the Peckhamplex. Surely a double bill of A Star is Born and First Man is beyond even my tolerance.
I did the exact same double bill and then I chucked in Smallfoot for good measure.
Don't do it.

I think the initial sequences in First Man are actually better than the ones that end the film. I also thinks it's a shame that a film that's unashamedly unsentimental feels the need to puctuate itself with stuff that is obviously just there for dramatic purposes. Still, phwoar.
Blame my ignorance but A Star is Born taught me that Lady Gaga could act and Bradley Cooper could sing. His next directorial effort: the tragic story of the man whose cock was too big.

Got to admire Puppet Master. Sets out to be deeply offensive and almost succeeds.
Last saw Bad Times At The El Royale. Really looking forward to what Chris Hemsworth does after he's finished with Thor. The guy can pretty much do anything. Also I'm sure i'll watch anything with Jon Hamm in it.
Bohemian Rhapsody was good. Standard biopic but still enjoyable. Queen soundtrack helps.
I have to agree with Sam. A Star Is Born shows that Lady Gaga can act and Bradley Cooper can sing. Also I always forget Sam Elliot probably has the manliest voice in existence.

If you're telling me the new Johnny English is as good as the new Halloween-- I don't actually know how to process that. There's a good chance I'll never see either as long as I live so I guess I'll just not worry about it.
If I'm going to see Bad Times at the El Royale - and I can't think of a film more squarely aimed at my demographic - it'll be in cinemas. I probably won't see it.

I'd had a coffee to help me finish an assignment - living the wild student life again - and I couldn't sleep so the girlfriend took me to see a late night showing of Crazy Rich Asians. She lives in Kensington, so we're not strangers to the concept. Anyway, the film is equal turns boring and repulsive, and at least half of it just part of a tourism campaign, but still better than The Predator.
Otherwise I saw Jurassic Park and Speed Racer, both on 35MM at the Prince Charles and I have to say both were probably among the best cinema experiences I've ever had. People were jumping during Jurassic Park. There's people who've not seen it two hundred times already! And I've got one more item ticked off my bucket list now I've seen Speed Racer on the big screen.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how pulpy Widows was. Felt very Friedkin.
