I don't watch a lot of TV, just wrestling really. Exclusively watch films at the cinema.

There is a forthcoming showing of Spirited so I'll likely be able to make that.

Thoroughly enjoyed Spirited. Maybe a touch too long.

a touch too long, but it means more Ryan Reynolds so I'm fine with it.

Just saw Violent Night on Wednesday. 2 Christmas movies this year after not watching Christmas movies for a long time. might have surpassed Spirited as my favorite Christmas movie already.

I loathe Ryan Reynolds so it was a surprise I enjoyed it so much.

Violent Night needed another rewrite and it would've been very good. The middle comes to a screeching halt when there should've been more fun dismemberment.

Agree there was not enough violence especially in the middle). Loved David Harbour in it.

Hope for a Violent Night 2 next year (or the year after).

Aftersun is my film of the year. Still ranks lower than a Batman Returns re-release.

Happy new year. This'll probably be easier if I just shave it down to a top ten rather than add everything I've seen.

    1. Everything Everywhere All At Once ★★★★★
    2. Drive My Car ★★★★★
    3. The Souvenir Part II ★★★★★
    4. Nope ★★★★
    5. RRR ★★★★
    6. Official Competition ★★★★
    7. Licorice Pizza ★★★★
    8. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent ★★★★
    9. X ★★★★
    10. Aftersun ★★★★

Honorable mentions go to Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio - which is probably now my second favourite film of his by some margin - Bodies Bodies Bodies and The Menu. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent doesn't really deserve to be up there but it's done now.

Violent Night felt caught between worlds. The Home Alone homage is probably one of the sequences of the year though. Make that film.

I should add I have tickets for Skinamarink, for which I've only read the synopsis and am consequently very excited, and the second Avatar in big screen and big framerate, which seems the only reason to bother watching it.

Holy Shit Uncle Sams back it's a new years miracle! Welcome back it's been a while.

I thoroughly enjoyed Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. And I have heard so much about Everything Everywhere All at Once that it would probably behoove me to see it at some point. Unfortunately it isn't on streaming yet.

I've recommended Everything Everywhere to anybody who'll listen. I've only known two people to be let down by it, one of whom is in this thread.
