WWE looks like they're going a different route this year with the annual Money in the Bank ladder matches. Reportedly, the matches themselves are going to be filmed taking place at WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT. I've also read that it may feature the wrestlers starting off fighting through the building in order to reach the roof where a ring has been built and the briefcase hanging above the ring. I don't know if this will be a traditional match or if it's going to be more along the lines of a cinematic match like the Boneyard Match of WrestleMania 36. I don't know how well this will work but, if nothing else, the Coronavirus pandemic has WWE thinking outside the box a bit.
Already confirmed for the show is Braun Strowman defending the Universal Championship against Bray Wyatt. Now, based on the graphics that've been shown, I'm guessing that it'll be Strowman against the Mr. Rogers version of Bray Wyatt who hosts the Firefly Funhouse and not "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. They did something like this a while back when Wyatt was feuding with Miz in which Miz didn't face "The Fiend" so there is precedent for this. If so, I'm not all that crazy about it. I guess it could mean that Strowman could beat "Bray" and WWE could keep "The Fiend" strong for when/if they decide to put the title back on him, thereby expecting everyone to go along with the notion that if Strowman were to beat Bray, he hasn't beaten The Fiend. Yeah...again, not really all that crazy about that.
