What was the biggest off-air story this year?
WWE Continues to release talent, including names currently on TV
Fans brought back into shows/return to normalcy after Covid lockdowns
WWE Network moves to Peacock
NXT shifts to NXT 2.0 and most of the veteran talent leaves the brand
I really don't know which is the biggest story. I'm not as high up on the releases. At the end of the day that's a last year story.
Peacock people forget about since it was announced in January. It was as they got yet another billion dollar TV deal, moved them to a new, more diverse platform. But NXT 2.0 is the story that may change the business in the next few years (in a good way).
However the obvious thought is probably the return to touring and full houses for the major companies.
If I'd have got my nomination in I'd have gone with HHH having a heart attack. As it is I'll go with the NXT 2.0 as it was out if no where and seemed to indicate WWE conceding defeat.
