Curry >>>>>>>>>>>>>> KD
So are all of the people who seemed to think me getting bent out of shape at Brooklyn getting Griffin still of the mindset that I was over reacting? Griffin has certainly proven that he just simply wasn't even trying in Detroit. If I were a Pistons fan I'd be sick watching Griffin playing like he is for the Nets.
I'm also going to go back to my comment about omitting KD from the history books. Let's take a look. Since 2016 KD's teams have looked like this: 2 MVPs who are current top 5 players, another top 10 player, and at least 4-6 current/former All Stars. Why does KD get to literally play on All Star teams every year and when LBJ tries to counter he gets torn apart? Celtics led LBJ to Miami. Before the Celtics big 3, when everything was relatively even with 1 or maybe 2 All Stars on the good teams, a 22 yr old LeBron (By himself mostly) conquered the East and drug a team where the next best player averaged less than 15 pts a game to the Finals. LBJ responds to the Celtics by building another powerhouse because CLE wouldn't get him serious help and LBJ is torn apart for it to this day. He goes back to CLE with Kyrie and Love and we instantly see the ascension of the Warriors with Steph, Klay, and Draymond (Don't forget Iggy). Pretty even match up. Until KD joins that team and when they did what an All Star team should do which is destroy everyone, LBJ is torn apart because he lost. Now people are tearing him apart because he has AD and some people think they need another star player. All the while KD has just been chilling on All Star teams for 5 years. I don't get it.
Because KD has never claimed to be a king. If I claim to be king of a sport, but can?t win without multiple top players on my team, am I really that good? Even when he got the Cavs to the Finals in 07 the East was at its peak of shittyness. Detroit?s run was over and no other team stepped up until the following year in Boston.
KD might not be the best with his own PR, but he never claimed to be a king. Honestly, while he was OKC, he was a pretty humble guy.
KD can't win with these cats
"He's probably thinking about other girls"
"Seriously, how did the Clippers blow a 19 point lead at home to Josh Smith and Corey Brewer?"
