Has there ever been a more underwhelming World Champ than Braun? Sucks because I actually am a fan of his.

Oh there have been several worse.

The problem with Braun is three fold (at least).

1. He's a monster. He isn't the kind of guy who normally needs the title but he's choked so many times that they had to give it to him.

2. They're trying to make him their one size fits all guy. Strowman can't talk very well and sounds like he's reading lines off a script. That's fine, as not everyone can cut that long form promo. It's not a game breaker whatsoever. The problem is WWE keeps putting him in those positions when it doesn't fit him. Have Strowman talk for ten seconds at a time and use his natural gifts and talents to make an impact instead.

3. It wasn't supposed to be Strowman and everyone knows it. This was supposed to be Reigns' spot and they had to scramble to get anything together for Strowman. Now we're stuck in a four month Strowman vs. Wyatt feud which doesn't have the legs for four weeks, but we're stuck here anyway because there's nothing else to do. Instead of having him face Cesaro or Nakamura or someone else in some one off title defenses, we're seeing this over and over with a story about how they were in the same stable years ago. THat's not the best creative and it's involving someone who can't talk well in the first place. That's a very bad combination.

Add all that up and we're stuck with this really boring title reign.

How does talent/promotion talks work exactly when the talent is signed to another promotion? I vaguely remember reading somewhere that promotions can't talk to signed talent (not sure how true that is though). And there's the stories of how talent play promotions off against each other and will resign where they are for more perks. Also there was Matt Hardy turning up in AEW like a week after leaving WWE. One would assume he was talking to them before his contract expired.
