Also, one of the biggest differences is in the no compete clauses. If you're released, you have to wait 90 days, during which you can negotiate. Hardy was officially a free agent and could sign immediately. The companies are going to know when someone's deal is up and be ready to pounce. If the wrestler is interested, working out a deal doesn't take long at all.
