Bayley, a main event star and double champion, has lost her last 3 matches. Tonight she lost clean on TV in 2 minutes to someone who had just lost in 3 1/2 minutes.
Is this more WWE genius I'm too stupid to understand, or is it just stupid?

I think it's ultimately more of Vince's logic at looking at things. For whatever reason, Vince LOVES the notion of heel champions looking so vulnerable that they come off as downright weak, which is why it's so common for champions in WWE to lose non-title matches. Or, I should say that's typically what he prefers to do unless you're some sort of big ol' bearcat, alpha kind of heel. For instance, we've seen Bobby Lashley make Apollo Crews his bitch for months now, beating him one setting after another, yet it's MVP who has a US title match against him.
As for last night, the whole Beat the Clock Challenge came off like something Vince came up with just minutes before the matches actually started. Sasha beats Naomi in 3.5 minutes, then Naomi turns around and beats Bayley about 2 minutes later. Shit...just doint a coin toss to see who got Asuka first would've been more sensible.
However, welcome to WWE's "main roster" where continuity, common sense and acceptable logic are all based on a roll of the dice and whatever mood happens to strike the WWE CEO this week.
