Completely depends on the contract situations. If they can get out, I'd assume very possible.

Why did WWE change Michael Hayes name to Dok Hendrix when he came to WWE? I know he was 99% retired by that point but did they really need to change his name so he could do interviews?

My guess is trying to make a character out of him. He was supposed to be stuck in the 80s but it never really came off that strong.
