WWE has their own movie studio. In these films they have WWE Superstars play a character. Aside from The Miz (whose character is that of an actor) no one really acknowledges movies.
Am I the only person who thinks that it would be a good idea for them to switch it up and put one of their CHARACTERS in a movie, and use it as a way to help get one of their characters over? Not for everyone obviously, but one in particular.
A Horror Movie called "Firefly FunHouse" could be fucking amazing.
I think you're putting way too much thought into how much the movie studio actually matters. Also, if you're going to use a movie to build up a character, that's three months that character is off TV, meaning the interest in them is likely to go away.
The studio doesn't matter at all. They produce B-Movies/Direct to home release movies. I am saying that Bray Wyatt in his current iteration would make a compelling Movie character, which is very uncommon for a WWE Superstar (really him and Taker are the only 2, and Taker is way too far gone to do).
Besides, Bray Wyatt/The Fiend will not work as a weekly TV character. If they were to do a movie with him, they put a few Firefly Funhouses in the can, and air those while he's away (he'd only be away for 2 probably).
On an similar, unrelated note, I kinda want to see Bray Wyatt do a Mick Foley thing where he wrestles as both The Field and Firefly Funhouse Bray Wyatt. if for no other reason then to have an expanded version of the Firefly Funhouse theme, and a smiling Bray Wyatt coming to the ring shaking hands as a babyface with an evil heel Fiend.
They didnâ??t step that far out of Kaneâ??s character with See No Evil.
How far can they get with the Fiend character before its either gone stale/overexposed or before they mess it up?
Listening to Meltzer, he claims he didn't enjoy the SummerSlam main event all that much because he's "spoiled" by the excessive quality of wrestling available now. Have you experienced a similar thing, and how wrong is Meltzer to essentially only exclusively advocate this way for one particular type of wrestling?
Here's how I'd optimize the Fiend:
This may be contrary, but the Fiend needs to be booked as a phenom rather than putting him in the title picture. Wyatt does not need the strap to get over; fans are already in love with the character. Have it where Wyatt only appears in the titantron in FFH mode and he only appears as the Fiend in the ring and that is only for PPV main events. This has been done already, but have his FFS friends creepily pop up backstage as an Easter egg. Do not give him any backstory whatsoever; the character is so much more interesting when questions stay unanswered.
I'd also have it where each match he carries his prevous victim's face on his lantern. I've heard they're insanely expensive and difficult to make, but this would make the character even more disturbing.
And for the love of God, do not get him anywhere close as a face. Not even as a tweener. He can feud with other heels, but he needs to be the greater evil.

The split personality thing is a possibility. It could be interesting.
Anything involving hearing MAY 19 over and over again or anything close to it is not a good idea.
The Fiend has a lot of potential....and I have no confidence in WWE to not screw it up. If they let him go out there every now and then, they can get somewhere with him. Just don't have him lose for a long, long time.
Oh I've been there. It's called being an NXT fan. And yeah that's really stupid to say. There are roughly 184 kinds of wrestling and all of them can be awesome in different ways. Or we can just worship Japan and Japan alone because Meltzer says so.
^I legit spat out my soda after reading this. This is golden.Or we can just worship Japan and Japan alone because Meltzer says so.
...
Anyway, The Fiend, do you suppose that mask he wears will be a popular merch item say by Halloween?
I think what Meltzer means is that a 4 star match is no longer appreciated as much because of how many great matches we see.
In 2009, Meltzer didn't rate any matches 5 stars. This year there's already been 16.
