How big of a deal are the really low ratings for the latest Raw and Smackdown?
With the entire US at home, shouldn't ratings be up? Or does the lack of a crowd hurt viewership?

I've been on podcasts before and I'd need someone to cut me off as I can ramble on for way too long.
That means more to me than you know. Thank you very much.
The ratings are doing well. It's the viewership that's down and ratings dwarf viewership in importance. In other words, it's which fans are watching. The 18-49 demographic is the most coveted and this week's Raw had hours of #2, #3 and #7 in that demographic.
As for why people aren't watching, I'd call it a mixture of the show not being so great, fans wanting a break and just a lack of desire to have fun right now. People are out of work, sick or in worst case scenarios, dying. That's not exactly the kind of atmosphere where you want to have fun watching something. For a lot of people, I'd assume that trying to watch Raw as usual just makes you realize how abnormal everything is at the moment.
Vince had the most obvious reason ever for low ratings (coronavirus, duh), and yet he blamed the wrestlers like he always does.
Their booking is erratic, they're performing in empty arenas, and they have legitimate safety and job security fears. But it's totally all their fault, right?
What ever happened to main eventers actually main eventing TV shows?
Raven, how good was he?
