Steam is great but it never quite appealed to me. I don't play much video games but when I do I like to be playing in person with friends while having a beer and a laugh. N64 was the first console I recall to really nail multiplayer. I'll play online on a few, but not enough to merit getting even a half-decent gaming PC.
I had Steam on my laptop but it felt like it always wanted to run in the background and update , start up on its own. It got really annoying so I deleted it. I'm sure there's a setting where you can make sure it doesn't automatically start up during your laptops start up and auto updates but I couldn't be bothered with it.
Frank: Ludwig?!
Goon: Drebin!
Frank: Yeah, I'm Drebin!
Goon: I have a message for ya from Vincent Ludwig!
Goon: Take that, you lousy cop!
Frank: I'm sorry! I can't hear ya! Don't fire the gun while you're talking!
Playing Witcher 3 on my new Samsung television I got awhile ago. I didn't know about this setting....
Press settings on the tv controller.
Go to picture, then Expert Settings.
Select HDR + Mode
Slap yourself in the face for not discovering this mode before. It's like a brand new picture all together. The difference is down right shocking.

I hate PS4 only games. Screw you Sony!
Did anyone get the new UFC game? Is it any good/ how deep is the career mode?
Since I get most of my non-emulator games off Humble Bundle, the latest I've checked out is Splatter. A so far fun platformer where you go through a factory interacting with different types of slime to get around. It's pretty creative.
Sony by far has the best exclusives on the market. That's why I'll always pick a PlayStation over any other gaming device. BTW, gonna go ahead and call it now; God of War for PS4 will be this year's Game of the Year. Unless, of course, Spiderman, Detroit: Become Human, or Days Gone are somehow better. I doubt anything will be though.
Playing Witcher 3 (Xbox One)
I'm level 16 and I'm at the main quest story where they track Ciri through this forest that has been destroyed by a powerful spell. It's led Geralt and Yenn to track down this Craven guy who fled this village that was attacked by the Wild Hunt. Currently in the Herbaruim trying to track his prints...got sidetracked and followed the Warewolfs prints instead...then fought him, wasted damn near all of my food trying to beat him but I just can't get his energy down with his constant healing, retreated and back to tracking Craven. Here's my build so far:
Level 16
Lesser Red Mutagen : Level 2 Muscle Memory, Level 2 Strength training, Level 1 focus.
Lesser Blue Mutagen: Exploding Sheild level 1, Sustained Glyphs level 2, Melt Armor level 2.
Heightened Tolerance level 2.
Steel Sword: Blade from the Bits
Silver Sword: Witchers Silver Sword
Verden Archers Gambeson : Light Armor
Hunting Boots
Hunting Gauntlets
Tracker Trousers
I get the feeling I should be more advanced than this being level 16...like I'm stretching too many skills and not focusing on a set offense for my character. Like I'm gunning for a balanced attack when I shouldn't be.
