    Releases

Grabbed a few fairly big steals for TNA so I cut a few guys I felt I could manage without -

    Jason Cross
    Lollipop
    Brian Lee
    Slash
    Nelson Knight

Nobody cost me money due to having PPA contracts.

Also quietly letting Larry Zbyszko's contract run out. He's been a Road Agent but I have others and I just don't see what difference it'd make at this point to keep him.

    Be A Star

I decided to read him the riot act. He got defensive saying it's no big deal. It is a big deal. Every day, all over the world, a Todd is getting bullied.

We are better than this, TNA.

    TNA IMPACT

    Opener: Backstage
Ron Killings banged on Rena Mero's door, pleading with her to give him another chance. Last week The Cause cheated to win so if it has to go through them both by himself tonight, he will if it means facing Juvy at Turning Point. Konnan and Raven overheard and jumped him. They threw him into monitoring equipment and medics were immediately called to the scene. Konnan shouted that he was upset last week not because he felt he did Truth wrong, but because he did The Cause wrong by putting themselves so low on the food chain for so long. Tonight they're challenging the tag team champions for the gold!

    Angle: Confrontation
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Todd Pettengill was about to conduct an interview with TNA Legends Champion Jeff Jarrett when the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, AJ Styles, butted in. Last week he threw the gauntlet down for Jarrett to pick up. He asked him directly will he fight Styles in the main event. Jeff told him no - first and foremost he's a businessman, and he isn't giving away such a high caliber fight on TV, ESPECIALLY on the go home show. Styles brought up how Jarrett had changed, he's no longer the guy who could just go out there and try to put on a show. Jarrett and his merry band of misfits call for revolution while being the suits they say they despise. AJ heard it all year, but now it's time to put up and shut up. Jeff reconsidered. Tonight they will fight.

Mickie James, Angelina Love, Cheerleader Melissa, and Velvet Sky are in a video package promoting themselves as Knockouts. Feed is interrupted and a woman is heard. Notes:
    • The Lashley vs Hennigan match was too long given who was involved.
    • Abyss was visibly tiring towards the end of his match.
    • Jeff Jarrett improvised well during his segment.

    TNA Turning Point 2003 Hype

PPV Theme: "Price To Play" by Staind

Kash Strike vs. America's Most Wanted (c) In A Clausetrophobic Cage Match

    The Juiciest Invitational

Jeff Jarrett (c) vs. AJ Styles (c) in a Championship Versus Championship Match

It's no ho-ho-holds barred as Kash Strike goes toe-to-mistletoe with America's Most Wanted. A ravenous rookie team is on the champs' list, but can they check it twice?

Ever since losing to Ron Killings on the debut show, Juventud defended his title each week to prove he's better than Truth. The Cause were a roadblock that kept The Suntan Superman from earning a shot at the X Division Title. Juvy however, is confident Killings is easy pickings now, so he has staged "The Juicy Invitational", an Open Challenge Ladder Match to taunt the down-on-his-luck competitor to come out and face him and perhaps his main squeeze Velvet Sky, who is ring-ready.

It is a clash of champions as the owner of TNA faces a man that has rallied the fans in a way the company never saw coming. Whether it's jealousy on Jarrett's part or cockiness on Styles's, someone is walking out as the TNA Legends AND World Champion.

    TNA Turning Point

Opener: Velvet Sky vs. Little Nattie
    Crowd Reaction: Non-Existent
    In-Ring Action: Solid
Velvet Sky dressed up as a sexy Grinch and Nattie was Cindy Lou Who. Little Nattie defeated Sky in 6:25 by submitting her to The Sharpshooter.
    D

    Segment: Confrontation
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Cameras quickly caught up to AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett in an altercation. Jarrett gained the upperhand by decking him in the face with the Legends title. The Owner of TNA then lifted Styles up and executed the Styles Clash! Jarrett yelled about humiliating the young upstart and ending this "feel-good story". Styles can't get up by himself.
    C

Kash Strike vs. America's Most Wanted (c) in a Claustrophobic Cage Match
    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Decent
It's a holiday-themed steel cage bout with tinsel adorning the top and wreaths at every corner. There are chairs and kendo sticks inside. The first tag team to escape the cage wins. AMW defeated Kash Strike in 14:18 when James Storm threw garland out for Harris to climb and that's how Harris escaped. Defense #5 of the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
    D

    Segment: Interview
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
It's a special interview with Raven asking Konnan how he felt about his career this year. K-Dogg admitted it could've been better - they haven't done enough for their fellow outcasts, but they are building momentum and he expects The Cause will dominate 2004. Raven then asked about Curt Hennig, who has been a thorn in their side for a while. Konnan laughed and said the scout leader won't even see 2004 after they beat him in a Triple Threat tonight.
    C-

    Segment: Hype
Father James Mitchell voiceover reminisced on the beginning of the year and how The New Church could have been the driving force of TNA, but they lacked the discipline to climb that mountaintop and stay there. But Mitchell sees his legacy will not go gently into that good night...Abyss will be like the Krampus of old Christmas folklore, but instead of just having one night of terror, there will be 365. Video of Abyss lumbering under a door frame.
    D

    Cheerleader Melissa vs. Mickie James
Crowd Reaction: Completely Devoid Of Heat
    In-Ring Action: Awful
Cheerleader Melissa defeated Mickie James in 9:26 by Pinfall after using a pom pom as a weapon.
    E

    Segment: Dancing Cage
Angelina Love is here to keep the 2003 fans happy after seeing women fightin' in regular women clothes.
    D+

    Segment: Backstage
The Cause are back, but this time they assaulted BG James for interfering with Jarrett's match last week. They threw him into a backlot dumpster and walked away.
    D-

Curt Hennig vs. Raven vs. Konnan
    Crowd Reaction: Great
    In-Ring Action: Good
Curt defeated Konnan and Raven in 18:11 when Hennig pinned Raven after a Perfect-Plex.
    D+

    Segment: Argument
Cheerleader Melissa declared herself the best in the Women's Division tonight after beating Mickie James, and the best should be recognized with a title. Rena Mero told her that's all good but she hasn't proved herself ready yet. Mel replied she had defeated every tart here. Mero smiled and mysteriously answered her with "Not yet".
    C+

    Segment: The Juicy Invitational
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
X Division Champion Juventud Guerrera was in the ring that already had a ladder propped up and the title dangling above him. For weeks he's been a fighting champion, more than anyone can say for Killings. But it's the holidays and he feels generous - Killings can come on down and accept the Open Challenge, if he thinks he's 100%. Truth came out favoring his leg but told Juvy that he's more than willing to end the year ending The Juice's reign.
    D+

Ron "The Truth" Killings vs. Juventud Guerrera (c) in a Ladder Match
    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Good
Killings defeated Juventud in 12:28 when The Truth retrieved the title. Ron Killings won the X Division Championship.
    C

    Segment: Promo
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Curt Hennig, still tired from his Triple Threat, addressed HQ that he is up for a rematch for the TNA Legends title. If AJ walks out carrying that specific belt, then next week iMpact will see the most athletic competition of all time. But if it's still Jeff Jarrett, iMpact will get to watch the bloodiest fight in history.
    D+

    Segment: Mystery
Konnan is lifeless on the asphalt with a baseball bat nearby. ???
    D-

    Segment: Video Package
Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles. TNA Legends Champion vs. TNA World. And it's happening right now.
    C+

Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles in a Champion Versus Champion, Winner Take All Match
    Crowd Reaction: Great
    In-Ring Action: Great
Jarrett defeated Styles in 13:02 by Pinfall after The Stroke proceeding a distraction by Rena Mero. Jeff Jarrett won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Defense #1 of the TNA Legends Title.
    C-

    Notes:
    • Velvet Sky and Little Nattie have Great chemistry, and it showed in their performance.
    • AJ Styles looked good in the segment he took his own finisher.
    • Chris Harris took a crazy bump in his match.
    • James Storm could use something to freshen up his character.
    • Raven did a masterful job interviewing Konnan.
    • Konnan clearly enjoyed going off-script.
    • Father James Mitchell improvised well in his segment.
    • Curt Hennig did a masterful job of improvising interactions with the crowd.

    TNA X Division Champion

    Ron "The Truth" Killings
    D-

    TNA World Heavyweight Champion

    Jeff Jarret
    B

End of Year Awards are coming up, and I'll give a few of my thoughts about it. I'll also provide my roster and how much they've risen/fallen in the grand scheme of the game.

My profit margin was only up a few thousand this month. This is mainly due to signing a few major people over to TNA. So far, 2 will be on the show after next, and there is one super duper how-the-hell-did-I-sign-them coming soon too. Least I hope. Things do fall apart easily in this game.

    Opening: Backstage
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Cameras catch up to a warzone! AJ Styles, Curt Hennig, and BG James lead the assault on Cause members Jeff Jarrett, Raven, and Konnan - the latter sporting a heavily bandaged head from the mystery attacker at Turning Point. Konnan: "I know it was you Curt!". The fight spills out to the stands. Security tried to separate the six, but Styles got a lick in on Jarrett's face right before, Jeff with a nasty welt over his eye.

    Segment: Hype
Cheerleader Melissa doesn't care who it is that's coming to elevate the Women's Division. She's beaten everybody there is to beat, and the days of shaking her ass in a cage are over. This is met with jeers from the guys at ringside.

    C

Main Event: AJ Styles, Curt Hennig, and BG James vs. The Cause
    Crowd Reaction: Great
    In-Ring Action: Good

    Notes:
    • AJ Styles looked good in the opening segment.
    • Elix Skipper seemed off his game tonight.
    • James Storm seemed off his game as well.
    • Angelina Love was very underwhelming in the bikini contest.
    • Konnan, too, seemed off his game this evening.

They all wanted to get home to see their families I suppose.

    TNA iMpact

    Opening: Authority
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Rena Mero and Dual-Champion Jeff Jarrett were all smiles as they came to the ring. Jarrett said it was a long journey for him last year but he ended 2003 the same way as he began it - as the TNA World Champion. He even got the new Legends title out of it, but he's been thinking a few things over about that. It's not fair to have to book himself in several matches a night just to please a few slobs that buy a ticket. Instead, he reached out to an old friend and asked them to sign with TNA. He would then get the opportunity to wrestle for that title. In fact, his friend was just behind the curtain...

And it's Scott Hall! The WCW/WWE veteran strolled out with a toothpick hanging from his mouth and shook hands with Mero and Jarrett. He took the mic from Mero and stated that he's the biggest unsigned legend in the world, but now he is TNA. Jarrett agreed and told the arena that this moment will live on in history as the day Jeff Jarrett vacated the TNA Legends Championship and gained the most controversial figure in pro wrestling. They hugged it out.

    Segment: Video
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Melissa wasn't satisfied, kicking Nattie Neidhart while she was down and demanding better competition. For weeks she was promised a challenge, and so far it's been nothing but hype. She's waited long enough, now show her what this place has to offer. The tron flashed, emitting static. It answered back with SHE IS HERE. Feed cuts to a woman standing with her back facing the camera. Her long red hair giving her away. Punk rock music started playing as she peered over her shoulder. It's former WWE Women's Champion Lita! She smirked and turned back away. Text on the screen: SEE YOU SOON played before the tron went black. Cheerleader Melissa stood dumbfounded.

    Segment: Authority
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Rena Mero sat in her office going through papers and speaking directly to the audience. If the crowd thought Scott Hall and Miss Amy Dumas were big steals, they haven't seen anything yet. But that's all for next week. Tonight she's booked Curt Hennig up against AJ Styles for the first time ever. She wants to see where the fans' loyalties lie between the two. She grinned.

    Segment: Backstage
Konnan, still wearing the bandage on his head, is on the phone with someone as he talks about jumping Curt Hennig. He doesn't like what is being said on the other line, and argues that if it wasn't Hennig than who? From a corner a masked someone watches on.

    TNA iMpact

    Opening: Confrontation
BG James opened up the show demanding to face the company's owner and World champion, Jeff Jarrett. They've had a lot of beef lately and it would please him to death if he laid Jarrett out there in Florida. Jarrett appeared on the ramp with the title around his waist and a guitar in hand, telling him sure he'll beat James one more time but he's afraid the fans will grow complacent seeing Jeff win all the time. BG replied that it won't be like other matches - he wants a Street Fight.

    Segment: Authority
Rena Mero was with Scott Hall in her office, with him officially signing a contract with TNA. She told him that her and Jarrett were people of their word, and that next week he will get a TNA Legends title match with Curt Hennig. He gave her a smug grin and stated that he must be the biggest name "You're definitely ONE of the biggest." At first he faltered but answered back "You must also be talkin' about Amy Dumas." She smiled and said nothing else.

    Segment: (Mid?) Post-Match

    Click for Spoiler:

Jeff Jarrett froze in place. Everybody in the arena jumped to their feet and screamed. Goldberg came out with percussionary fireworks. The distraction provided BG James ample time to secure a victory over the World champion. As the bell rang, Goldberg stepped into the ring; the crowd louder than they had ever been chanting his name. Jarrett crawled to his knees and stared up at the icon. He was visibly shaking. Goldberg touched Jarrett's forehead with one finger before turning around and heading back to the curtains. The TNA World Champion was beside himself.

Fined. He promises he'll act right, but he has done this more than once He's a fairly important part of my game right now, so if this happens again I'm either giving him a Last Chance or Suspending him.
