Opening: Matt Sydal vs. Juventud Guerrera
Crowd Reaction: Not Much In The Way Of Heat
    In-Ring Action: Solid
Juventud Guerrera and Matt Sydal came to a draw in 8:02, simultaneously knocking each other out with stiff kicks.
    D

    Segment: Promo
Raven was in a skybox, watching the opening match conclude. He told camera personnel that last week Jarrett disqualified them from their match. It wasn't fair, he wasn't consulted. What about him? So The Cause was tossing Raven a bone tonight - he will face Curt Hennig for the TNA Legends Championship. He doesn't care that Hennig has been a workhorse lately. He's putting him down. Quoth The Raven, nevermore.
    D+

    Segment: Cage Dancing
Velvet Sky did her routine the best to her abilities with a huge dent still visibly there on the cage from last week.
    C

    Cheerleader Melissa vs. Mickie James
Crowd Reaction: Not Much In The Way Of Heat
    In-Ring Action: Solid
Melissa defeated Mickie in 8:25 by pinfall after using a Moonsault following a DDT (Amy's signature moves), illegally propping her leg atop the bottom rope.
    D

    Segment: Backstage Assault
The James Gang were consoling the injured Mickie when they were ambushed by America's Most Wanted. Both Harris and Storm want their rematch, and they're sick of the wouldbe country boys. AMW will take their titles at Against All Odds.
    E+

    Low Ki vs. Ultimo Dragon
    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Good
Number One Contender's Match for the X Division Championship. Low Ki defeated Ultimo Dragon in 8:22 by Submission. Afterwards he grabbed a mic and aired his grievances. He's sick of seeing the X Division become nothing but a vehicle for Ron Killings to do movies. Low Ki is a serious competitor and The Truth better recognize the truth - if he doesn't get his head in the game Low Ki will take what he holds dear.
    D+

    Segment: Contract Signing
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Scott Hall came down and told the fans to quiet down, he's gonna bring Goldberg and Jarrett out there to make their match official. They came out, though Jarrett was visibly nervous with Goldberg staring him down. Jarrett signed. Goldberg signed, but cameras caught that he didn't put his own name down. Instead the signature read "The Spear". Jarrett backed away and even though the two did not come to blows, Hall held Goldberg back. Goldberg then got in Scott Hall's face, and shoved him into a nearby turnbuckle. Hall looked surprised and disgusted.
    C+

    Segment: Promo
AJ Styles realized he's been in a rut since losing the World title from Jarrett. He doesn't know where to go from here, but he's being counseled by his friend Jerry Lynn lately and whatever happens now, Jerry said it isn't over. AJ will climb that mountain again, it's only a matter of time. If it means throwing himself against The Cause, or going back to the X Division, he will do it and do it with everything he has.
    C

Main Event: Raven vs. Curt Hennig (c)
    Crowd Reaction: Good
    In-Ring Action: Good
Hennig defeated Raven in 10:46, pinning him after a Perfect-Plex. Konnan came in for the interference. Defense #2 of the TNA Legends Championship.
    D

    Post-Match: Run-In
Complete shmoz as Konnan came in to attack Raven, and then the World Champion Jeff Jarrett ran in, making it a 2 on 2. Goldberg rushed the ring and planted Jarrett in the ground with a Spear, to the delight of the entire audience. Curt Hennig could barely get up with his title, but he does so and makes his way to the ramp. He turned back to face the carnage, and...

    Post-Match: Run-In, Continued
    Click for Spoiler:

Randy Savage snuck up from behind Hennig...and laid him out! Huge surprise left the crowd screaming. The Macho Man seized the TNA Legends Championship and stood mesmerizing it. He then proceeded to vacate the premises with the gold, leaving Curt on the ground and the others brawling amongst themselves.

    Notes:
    • Chris Sabin was really off his game tonight.
    • Samoa Joe vs. Chris Sabin went on for too long given who was involved.
    • Raven struggled while going off-script.
    • James Storm has a dreadfully stale character, a change is really needed (I did turn him and Chris Harris heel, remedying that, but for some reason the game felt it was too many "shock" turns, and so Storm suffered for it. Fuck a tag team heel turn I guess.)
    • Scott Hall worked the crowd well.
    • The performance of Goldberg in the contract segment was good.
    • The performance of Goldberg in the post-match was fantastic.
    • Randy Savage has debuted his Legend gimmick. It got an A.

"Todd Pettengill clearly enjoyed the freedom of being off-script.
Todd Pettengill looked dreadful in his segment."

    TNA iMpact

    Opening: Promo For The Audience
Randy Savage came to the ring clutching the stolen TNA Legends Championship. He told the crowd make no mistake - he has come not to bring peace to TNA, but a sword. He declared himself the Jesus Christ of Professional Wrestling, and even though Curt Hennig is the champ, he's no legend. Love him or hate him, Savage is and he's feeling generous tonight. Curt Hennig is off nursing an injury, but your savior will compete in the Main Event. Against who? Well Jesus hasn't made up his mind yet.
    B-

    Segment: Cage Dancing
Mickie James does her thing in the still dented cage. AMW came out and pushed it over with her inside.
    C

America's Most Wanted vs. Sabin & Sydal
Crowd Reaction: Not Much In The Way Of Heat
    In-Ring Action: Solid
AMW defeated Sabin & Sydal in 7:50 when James Storm pinned Chris Sabin with The Death Sentence. After the match The James Gang ran-in and chased Harris & Storm out of the arena.
    D

    Segment: Backstage
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
World Champion Jeff Jarrett is took no chances on the Go Home show...he was in an inflated rubber suit to protect himself from Goldberg, who he thinks is nothing without his Spear. For weeks he had to listen to the fans tell him how he's scared of the icon. He's not scared, but he is prepared. Jarrett is a thinking man's champ, and Goldberg only has two moves. Still Jarrett dared him to show up tonight, to see how well he'd fair against Jarrett in all of his gimp padding.
    C

    Segment: Outside Of TNA
Somewhere in downtown Pine Bluff, Scott Hall ate out on a patio when Raven interrupted him. Raven wanted Konnan in a Hardcore Match, but not just any. Raven's Rules. Hall said okay and that he had money on Raven, so he better not let him down.
    D

    Ron Killings vs. AJ Styles
    Crowd Reaction: Good
    In-Ring Action: Decent
Styles defeated Killings in 12:08 with a pinfall after The Styles Clash when Low Ki distracted Truth from the outside.
    D-

    Segment: Confrontation
Cheerleader Melissa walked the hallways when she ran into Amy Dumas. For a minute, neither one spoke. Dumas told her that after Against All Odds, there will be a Knockouts Champion, and it won't be the girl who plays with pom poms. Melissa reminded her that she beat Dumas at Final Resolution, and that resolution was the title is going around HER waist, that she would usher in a new generation of female competitors who don't need to hike up their thongs into their asscracks to be popular. They get in each other's face before Security breaks them up.
    C+

    Konnan vs. Juventud Guerrera
    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Decent
Konnan defeated Juice in 8:04 by submission with The Tequila Sunrise.
    D

    Segment: Post-Match
Konnan knew Raven wasn't in the arena, but still said he's happy to go hardcore and break the facade of Raven once and for all. K-Dogg had lived a hard life, and knew the streets better than some poser who found Edgar Allen Poe when he was 14. Raven is just another fake who rides the corporate coattails of TNA. May have worked in ECW, maybe even WCW, but this was TNA. It's Konnan's Rules. Konnan threw the mic down on the mat. Feedback was loud.
    D

    Segment: Interview Promo
Percy Pringle III interviewed Randy Savage and wondered who Savage was facing in the Main Event tonight. Fans want to be surprised, but Randy doesn't care. It'll be Ultimo Dragon.
    C-

    Segment: Backstage Assault
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Goldberg walked passed Jarrett, saw that it was indeed Jarrett, turned around and Speared his rubber suit. Jarrett flew into a wall, bounced off, and fell into The Jackhammer. The whole time, Jeff remarked "It doesn't hurt! He isn't hurting me! I'm smarter than him!" Goldberg stared down at him, clearly unamused, before taking the World title and dropping it on Jarrett's prone face. Jarrett could not reach the belt or get back to his feet, and asked for Goldberg's help. Goldberg walked away.
    C+

Main Event: Randy Savage vs. Ultimo Dragon
    Crowd Reaction: Great
    In-Ring Action: Good
Savage defeated Dragon by pinfall with a Diving Elbow Drop. Afterwards he posed with the Legends title for the "lucky" fans.
    D+

    Notes:
    • Shark Boy was really off his game tonight.
    • Jeff Jarrett struggled while going off-script in the rubber suit segment.
    • Scott Hall improvised well.
    • Randy Savage improvised well in his interview segment.
    • Percy Pringle III struggled while going off-script.
    • Jeff Jarrett was very underwhelming in his rubber suit II segment.

TNA Against All Odds 2004 Hype

    PPV Theme: "Sunday" by Lo-Pro

    Goldberg vs. Jeff Jarrett (c)

Randy Savage vs. Curt Hennig (c)

Amy Dumas vs. Cheerleader Melissa to crown the first TNA Knockouts Champion

The Foregone Conclusion. That's what many of Jarrett's peers have called Goldberg's hypothetical challenge for the TNA World Championship. Every week, Jarrett had to walk passed fans who screamed his name, and carried signs that pointed out how scared Jeff was of him. Now the hypothetical will be realised. The hottest acquisition in pro wrestling history prepares to battle The Owner of TNA.

"I didn't come to bring peace to the world, but a sword!". With those words, icon Randy Savage made his intentions clear - he's not in TNA to make everyone happy. His mission is a messianic one, and every fan that buys a ticket should consider themselves blessed to see him in the ring. He's taken exception to Curt Hennig being the TNA Legends Champion though, a man who prior to the Macho Man was a ship without a destination, a man who waited for The Cause to throw the next roadblock his way. No one expected Savage, but now that he's here the gauntlet has been thrown down.

GM Rena Mero created a title to accommodate the budding Knockouts Division, with Cheerleader Melissa in mind as the inaugural champion. But a free agent of exceptional momentum was too hot to pass up... Amy Dumas, the former Lita of WWE fame. At Final Resolution, Melissa proved she could hang with the best of women's wrestling, though she did cheat in the process. Now Dumas is wise to her strategy, but the two have been on such a tear the past six weeks that it's any woman's game at Against All Odds.

The Warlords meet on the battlefield. Once preaching a false narrative of others not getting their fair share in the company while being the company itself, The Cause enlisted Scott Hall and then Randy Savage to fill their ranks. But with an influx of big names came the downsizing, and the supposed weak link had to go. In Raven's eyes, that was his partner Konnan. K-Dogg seeks revenge for his friend's betrayal, and Raven needs to beat back the opposition to prove to The Cause he made the right decision. There will be blood with the two agreeing to Raven's/Konnan's Rules aka No Disqualification.

Two-Time TNA World Tag Team Champions America's Most Wanted met their match against two other outlaws of the Tag Division. The James Gang weren't The New Church or The Harris Brothers or The S.A.T. - Kip and BG James were wrestling royalty before they came to TNA and, as the expression goes, pride kills men. AMW have stopped at nothing to get their rematch against the duo, even injuring The Gang's valet Mickie James in the process. Considered fan favorites up until now, the contenders will stop at nothing to have a third reign with the belts. It's a shootout of catalytic proportions.

Low Ki has been hard at work in the ring while Ron Killings has been hard at work being a movie star, or so Low Ki believes. The X Division Champion is known to juggle wrestling with acting and the serious contender plans to exploit that at Against All Odds. Is The Truth's head in the game?

    History Has Repeated Itself

    Hard Decision Made

Again? Fined. I know I gave him a Last Chance, but that Popularity and Mic Work..

....Riot Act. Maybe he'll come around because I've shown him mercy and-

...with the locker room now at 54% mostly due to Hall being a dick, I don't see this getting better. I Fired him. I know, should've seen this coming.

You were the cool heel Authority Figure! Now who will adolescent men live vicariously through?

    Attendance: 8,712
    Live On Pay Per View

    TNA Against All Odds

    Opening: Guest Host
There were tassels covering the ring and Randy Savage was on standby in a sequined tuxedo. He welcomed the adoring fans to the first edition of The Savage Sermon, and before the big match he wanted to bring out Curt Hennig for a word. Hennig came out, confused and angry that Savage stole his title and has now dubbed himself "The Jesus Christ of Professional Wrestling". Savage told Hennig Savage answers only to Savage, and if he wanted the belt back he knows how to take it from him.

    Samoa Joe vs. Ultimo Dragon

    D-

    Segment: Interview
Percy Pringle with Ron Killings. Truth called Low Ki out for interfering with his match against Styles a few days ago. That even after he's done with the Break It franchise, TNA is and forever will be his home. He considered himself lucky to be the guy who takes the X Division to new heights. Question isn't if Truth is ready, but if Low Ki is.
    D-

    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Decent
James Gang defeated AMW in 13:50 when Kip James pinned Chris Harris with a Fame-Asser following a distraction from Mickie James, inciting vengeance for last week. Defense #1 of the TNA Tag Team Championship.
    D+

    Segment: Authority
Rena Mero was in the ring with a table covering an oblong object. She said after less than a year of being the mouthpiece for the company, she was happy to unveil the TNA Knockouts Championship - a title for women, by women. With this reveal came a promise, that every woman in the business can compete for the gold. She showed off the belt, and with a few personnel she moved it over to commentary to ready for the Knockouts match.
    C-

Cheerleader Melissa vs. Amy Dumas for the Inaugural Knockouts Championship
    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Good
Amy Dumas defeated Melissa in 7:37 with a Litasault. Amy won the TNA Knockouts Championship.
    C

    D

Konnan vs. Raven in a Hardcore Match
    Crowd Reaction: Good
    In-Ring Action: Good
Raven defeated Konnan in 16:30 by planting K-Dogg's face in a bunch of thumbtacks with The Raven Effect and a pin. This contest also saw Konnan obtain brass knuckles and choking his opponent with camera cable. Raven also used a kendo stick. Muta Scale on Konnan = 0.9 as he bled on referee Rudy Charles.
    C

Randy Savage vs. Curt Hennig (c)
    Crowd Reaction: Great

    C+

Main Event: Goldberg vs. Jeff Jarrett (c)
    Crowd Reaction: Fantastic
    In-Ring Action: Good
Goldberg defeated Jeff Jarrett in 17:41 by pinfall with a Spear following botched interference from Rena Mero. Goldberg won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
    C+

    Notes:
    • Randy Savage was superb working without a script, he had the fans eating out the palm of his hand.
    • Curt Hennig worked the crowd well, enjoying creative freedom.
    • Randy Savage looked good in his segment.
    • Curt Hennig performed poorly in his segment (wrap your head around that one).
    • Ron Killings worked the crowd well, digging that sweet creative freedom.
    • Killings's gimmick could use some freshening up.
    • Chris Harris took a crazy bump in the tag match.
    • There were times in the Knockouts match that there was a definite lack of psychology on display, and it had a tendency to drift a little.
    • Konnan also enjoyed his creative freedom tonight.
    • Goldberg was visibly tiring towards the end of his match.
    • Jeff Jarrett was also visibly tiring.
