What Is Happening In Wrestling Man

No clue what they're basing this off of. Probably doing the CHIKARA thing at me where it seems like they'll close their doors but somehow wind up winning a Year End Award. WWE is still the #1 company in the world by far. Their Prestige is at B+ and their momentum is C+. They have Bs in Popularity across the board in America at least. Hell of a roster in 2004. I do think their Champions for the most part are a little worse than mine but I don't think that plays all that much into it.

    Cruiserweight Champion: Spanky (E-)
    Women's Champion: Linda Miles (E+)
WWE Tag Team Champions: Los Guerreros (C-)
WWE World Tag Team Champions: Booker T & Goldust (C-)
    WWE Heavyweight: Kurt Angle (A)
WWE World Heavyweight: Shawn Michaels (A)

I...did not know this was a thing and looked it up. It really did happen. Nothing I can say here can thoroughly express how repulsed I am over that development. Fuck.

    Ep. 15
Week 3, March 2004 FL Hard Rock Arena (South East)
    Attendance: 4,758
    Taped For Television

    Dark Matches

    Shark Boy vs. Matt Striker
    Crowd Reaction: N/A
    In-Ring Action: Extremely Poor
Shark Boy defeated Striker in 8:19 with a fast roll up.
    E+

America's Most Wanted & Elix Skipper vs. Sabin & Sydal & Bobby Lashley
Crowd Reaction: Not Much In The Way Of Heat
    In-Ring Action: Solid
Skipper & AMW defeated Lashley & Sabin & Sydal in 8:03 when Chris Harris defeated Lashley by pinfall with a Catatonic.
    D+

    Mystiko vs. Kid Kash
Crowd Reaction: Not Much In The Way Of Heat
    In-Ring Action: Solid
Mystiko defeated Kash in 10:20 by pinfall.
    E+

    Segment: Interview
Todd Pettengill was in a short sit-down interview with Little Nattie. Nattie took what LuFisto said to heart, that she needed to become the best there was. To be a woman worthy of the foundation her family built. She wanted to face LuFisto again, perhaps at Destination X. She is still not a very good speaker and people took this time to hit the concession stands.
    E+

Ace Steel vs. Jerry Lynn vs. Curt Hennig
Crowd Reaction: Not Much In The Way Of Heat
    In-Ring Action: Solid
Curt Hennig defeated Steel and Lynn in 9:58 when Curt pinned Steel with a Perfect-Plex.
    D

    TNA iMpact

    Opening: Promo
Jeff Jarrett opened the show inside the ring and with microphone in hand. He let everybody know that due to Goldberg vandalizing his pickup last week, he went over Roddy Piper's head and Goldberg will not be on the go-home show for Destination X tonight. After the boos settled, Jarrett told the crowd that Piper wasn't the end-all, be-all after all, which brought him to his next topic: Ron Killings. Jarrett hated how Truth introduced an X Entry tournament without consulting him, The Owner. He's putting a halt to the tournament, and decided right then to flex his power and hand-pick Juventud Guerrera and Low Ki for Ultimate X. In fact, he wanted to teach The Truth a lesson tonight, and is challenging him in the main event.
    C-

    Segment: Stable
The James Gang was eating Popeyes chicken at a table, discussing Mickie's tag match coming up next, when suddenly serenaded by the terrible, terrible vocals of Joey Matthews and Christian York. They introduced themselves as Bad Street, and will be taking the titles from Kip and BG at Destination X. Gang: "okay..." Not getting the reaction they expected, Bad Street turned and left the room, arguing with each other how they should have rehearsed their song.
    D+

Amy Dumas & Mickie James vs. Cheerleader Melissa & LuFisto
    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Decent
Melissa & LuFisto defeated Dumas & Mickie in 7:53 when Cheerleader Melissa pinned Mickie with a roll up, using the belt loops of her jeans for leverage. After the match Melissa grabbed Mickie again and pinned her the same way, with LuFisto acting as a referee. Dumas ran back into the ring, got two of Mel's fingers shoved in her face, and the brawl was on. With LuFisto Melissa got the upperhand, together planting the Knockout's Champion with a Double DDT. Melissa posed with the title over Amy.
    D-

    Segment:
Raven was out on the ramp, ready to air his grievances. He didn't see last week's Triple Threat as fair, and demanded an opportunity to face the World Champion after Destination X for Piper wasting his time. There wasn't anybody here that can say they have been on a roll like him. Cue Samoa Joe's music. Joe came out and asked to see Raven in the ring at Destination X. Winner faces either Jeff Jarrett or Goldberg at Lockdown. Raven accepted.
    D+

    Segment: Interview w/Manager
Percy Pringle stood by with Father James Mitchell and Abyss. Mitchell said that Abyss is a hard creature to train, which explains his DQ loss to Konnan last week. But after a few days without food, Abyss has learned how to fight without relying on weapons. Abyss slowly nodded. Next time he is in the ring, he will win, Mitchell promised.
    D+

    Segment: Couples
Velvet Sky was still in high spirits, hugging Juventud Guerrera. "This is our big break!" she exclaimed. After loss after loss, Juvy found a friend in Jarrett and now was the time to get the W when it mattered most. X Division Champion was Juice's baby, Velvet told him. And they have left it at daycare for too long.
    C-

    Bad Street vs. LAX
Crowd Reaction: Not Much In The Way Of Heat
    In-Ring Action: Solid
Bad Street defeated LAX in 8:38 when Joey Matthews pinned Super Crazy after a Virginia Neck Tie.
    D-

    Segment: Cage Dancing
It's back! A new reinforced yellow cage was perched across from the entrance, and Angelina Love was inside, doing something that somebody might call dancing but it was more like convulsing. But the cage is back!
    C-

    AJ Styles vs. Low Ki
    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Good
Low Ki defeated AJ Styles in 9:31 by pinfall with a Ki Krusher following interference by Randy Savage.
    D-

    Segment: Authority
Roddy Piper addressed the crowd. First thing, the Ultimate X Match. Jarrett hadn't filled out all the spots needed, and therefore chose Ultimo Dragon as the final entry. And even though he couldn't do anything about Goldberg tonight, he still had the power to give the World title match a stipulation. Piper wanted to see Jarrett and Goldberg fight in the ring. He wanted to see them fight in the hallway. He wanted to see them fight in the parking lot. Destination X will live up to its name: Jarrett vs. Goldberg in a Falls Count Anywhere Match!
    B-

    Segment: Product Shilling
Rena Mero revealed the cover of this month's Playboy magazine ...which she is on! With some other blondie.
    C

    Segment: Video
Randy Savage with a video explaining his actions. He made up his mind - he saw something in AJ Styles. Potential. Youth. Fire. And Savage wanted to kill it. For the first defense of his title, he will fight any so-called Crusader or Jesus Freak. He'd be more than happy to get in the ring with an admirer. Savage will put the Legends Championship on the line against the 26 year old sensation.
    B-

Main Event: Ron "The Truth" Killings vs. Jeff Jarrett
    Crowd Reaction: Good
    In-Ring Action: Good
Jarrett defeated Killings in 13:27 by pinfall after an unseen low-blow.
    D+

    Notes:
    • Jeff Jarrett clearly enjoyed going off-script for the show's opening.
    • BG James loved working without a script.
    • Kip improvised well.
    • Mickie James was terrible, without a script to follow her dialogue was a mess.
    • Father James Mitchell improvised well.
    • Father James Mitchell has a dreadfully stale character, a change is really needed.
    • Percy Pringle improvised well too.
    • AJ Styles and Low Ki didn't click at all, and it showed in their performances.

    Destination X 2004 Hype

PPV Theme: "Mono" by Courtney Love

Jeff Jarrett vs. Goldberg (c) Falls Count Anywhere

AJ Styles vs. Randy Savage (c)

Cheerleader Melissa vs. Amy Dumas (c) Two Out Of Three Falls

The Owner of TNA has seen the World Champion as nothing but a flash in the pan, a one-note sensation that has convinced the country he is one of the all time greats. Goldberg has retaliated, spearing him in a rubber suit last month and attempting to stop Jarrett's pickup truck a few weeks ago. By order of the newly appointed GM Roddy Piper, Jarrett will get his chance to prove himself right but at the cost of fighting the behemoth wherever the match leads them. With The Cause out of commission it looks like tough times are ahead of Jarrett, but anything can happen when a fight goes outside the ring. It's Destination X for the two in a Falls Count Anywhere Match!

One man has taken exception to Randy Savage calling himself "The Jesus Christ of Professional Wrestling", and he is no Legend. He's not even 30. AJ Styles plans to make up for lost ground in recent feuds by picking up the gold even if it means taking it from the icon himself. Savage has had the upper hand each week, but time is not on the 51 year old's side. Something has to give in this curiosity of a contest.

The inaugural Knockouts Champion has went to war with the young up and comer for months. Now everything comes to a head in a Two Out Of Three Falls Match. The very future of the Knockouts Division depends on whether or not the popular Amy Dumas can secure her title reign against the skill and treachery of Cheerleader Melissa.

Ron "The Truth" Killings wanted to shake things up this month by introducing "The X Entry Tournament", wherein each winner would deserve a spot in the annual Ultimate X Match. After one match, The Owner of TNA went over his head and allowed Juventud Guerrera and Low Ki to be a part of the event. Not to be outdone, GM Roddy Piper chose Ultimo Dragon for the final entry. Nothing went to plan for Truth, but the B Movie Star still has his heart set in retaining in a fight where the odds are clearly not in his favor.

Raven has been something on a roll lately, defeating Konnan at Against All Odds and becoming a looming presence as a title contender. But so has another man. Samoa Joe has picked up victory after victory and has planted himself in front of the hardcore icon. This is a Number One Contender's Match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Lockdown.

Bad Street are next in line for the Tag Team Titles, or so they claim. The James Gang has been the heartbeat of the division ever since defeating America's Most Wanted in a Tables Match a few weeks ago, but they have their work cut out for them with a young team fresh off wins against LAX and Sabin & Sydal.

    Recent Developments

I gave him a Last Chance before, but I don't think he's helping me much where he's at right now. It bugs me he couldn't get his act together, because usually he is a positive influence on the locker room. This time, he got the Pink Slip. He told me he understood and will try and get better. I wish him the best in his future endeavors.

A slam dunk of a signee...but TNA is still too small for him while still at Regional. I think I'm getting close to Cult status (which is what WWE is currently, oddly enough) so I'll see if I can turn his head or not.

    TNA Destination X 2004

    Attendance: 10, 000 SOLD OUT
    Live On Pay Per View

    TNA Destination X

    Opening: Special Interview
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Randy Savage was in the ring for an installment of The Savage Sermon. His guest was, of all people, Curt Hennig, who he didn't forget is still owed a rematch from Against All Odds. Savage belittled the previous Legends champion, wondering how somebody so perfect could be so mortal. Savage was the second coming, but he'd be more than happy to cast Curt down into the fiery pit. He kept at this until AJ Styles came through the crowd and pummeled The Jesus of wrestling. Styles left him a battered mess.
    C+

    Segment: Cage Dancing
Mickie James shook her budunkadunk. Remember when people called it that? Anyways The James Gang came to the ring right after.
    D-

    C

    Segment: Backstage Attack
Ron "The Truth" Killings was backstage talking to Mystiko when Low Ki jumped them both with a steel chair. He barked at the cameras, telling them that the reign of phony movie stars is over. He is the man to beat in the Ultimate X. Not The Truth. He grabbed the X Division title and posed with it.
    D+

Samoa Joe vs. Raven in a Number One Contender's Match
    Crowd Reaction: Great
    In-Ring Action: Good
Raven defeated Samoa Joe in 10:43 by pinfall with The Raven Effect.
    D+

    Post-Match: Continued
Raven wasn't satisfied, he attacked Samoa Joe and forced him to tap out to his own finisher - The Coquina Clutch.
    D+

    Segment: Manager Talk
Father James Mitchell, now sporting a beret, met up with James Storm in the locker room. Mitchell told him he was starting a collection, a gallery of talent, and wanted Storm to join him. He called Storm rough around the edges, but with the right brush stroke he could do wonders with him, maybe teaming up with his Abyss. James Storm scoffed and shoved Mitchell down on his ass.
    D-

Juventud Guerrera vs. Ultimo Dragon vs. Low Ki vs. Mystiko vs. Ron Killings (c) in an Ultimate X Match
    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Good
Low Ki defeated Guerrera, Dragon, Mystiko, and Killings in 12:33 when Low Ki retrieved the "X". Low Ki won the X Division Championship.
    C

    Segment: Catfight
Cameras quickly cut to backstage where Rena Mero and Nattie were having a tussle. No details on why were given. Nattie applied The Sharpshooter before Security removed her from the premises. Rena ordered the cameramen to stop filming her.
    C+

    Segment: Interview w/Tag Team
Todd Pettengill was clearly in the same room as Rena when conducting the interview with Kip and BG James. Coming off of a cheap win with Bad Street, The James Gang had a lot to say, but they're gonna let TNA iMpact talk for them. Todd, like a Todd does, asked what they meant by that. They simply walked away.
    E+

Cheerleader Melissa vs. Amy Dumas (c) in a Two Out Of Three Falls Match
    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Good
The first fall was Melissa getting a clean pin off of Dumas. The second fall was from a DQ when Melissa dived off the top rope with a steel chair, smacking Dumas on the way down. The third fall was Dumas pinning Melissa after Melissa took a nasty bump off of a turnbuckle corner. Defense #1 of the TNA Knockouts Championship.
    C-

    Segment: Couples
Velvet Sky was furious with Juvy, telling him if he didn't start shaping up then she'll have to go solo.
    C-

    D

    Segment: Interview
    Crowd Reaction: Lifted
Percy Pringle stood by with his former client, AJ Styles. He picked his brain about attacking Savage, but all Styles wanted to say was that he knew what beating Randy tonight meant for him. He knew what it meant to be a champion again. If he didn't beat this false prophet, he may as well quit TNA. With that, he left.
    C

AJ Styles vs. Randy Savage (c)
    Crowd Reaction: Fantastic
    In-Ring Action: Good
Randy Savage defeated AJ Styles in 8:43 by pinfall after hooking his leg on the bottom rope. Defense #1 of his Legends Championship.
    C-

    Segment: Authority
Konnan walked into GM Roddy Piper's office and asked for a spot in the upcoming Lockdown Tourney. Roddy considered it, but only if he can prove himself in the following weeks. Next iMpact it will be Juvy vs. Konnan, two men who haven't had much luck lately. Winner gets a spot in the annual match. Piper had to step out of the office for a bit but he let K-Dogg ponder things over.
    C-

Main Event: Jeff Jarrett vs. Goldberg (c) in a Falls Count Anywhere Match
    Crowd Reaction: Average
    In-Ring Action: Good
Goldberg defeated Jarrett in 12:17 by pinfall after a Jackhammer onto GM Roddy Piper's desk (he was still absent), breaking it in half. Defense #1 of Goldberg's TNA World Heavyweight title.
    C+

    Post-Match: Celebration
Bill Goldberg took the time to celebrate by coming back to the ring and hugging fans in the front row.

    Notes:
    • Curt Hennig improvised well in The Savage Sermon.

    Goings On

This game knows me. While I'll try and contain my excitement (Fuck yeah! Cult Status!), I also know the grade can dwindle easily by an episode and put me back to Regional away from all the good talent I want to sign. Took this opportunity to reach out to a few big players WWE hasn't picked up yet. I also signed a few talents to Written contracts: Goldberg, Amy Dumas, AJ Styles, and Samoa Joe. The latter because they still have a lot to give in wrestling. Goldberg and Dumas are essentially anchors - very popular, very skilled who aren't very old and not very young (Goldberg is 37, Amy is 28). Let's see what TNA can do!

Ha. I love little bits like this. Depending on how this thing goes (ultimate goal is to take the #1 spot from WWE) and if there's interest, maybe I'll run with CornellVerse stuff for another LP. Who knows. Created rasslers is kinda cool and there might be demand in the future. We'll see.

I know she managed AMW for a while, and it's not like she has bad stats, but she's not that popular (the exact same popularity as Cheerleader Melissa and LuFisto) and she's in her 40s. That and my roster is a bit big and it's only getting bigger. I'm not ruling her out, but I have a lot of reasons not to pick up unpopular veterans, most notably I'm TNA trying not to do what irl TNA did businesswise.

Here I am interrupting your flow with questions. Do you ever get those messages from more popular/experienced workers after shows that are titles like "Goldberg Opinion" and they say something like "I think that Low Ki kid doesn't click in the ring. You should cut bait." because they always come off as bitchy in my game

Nah man I usually hold on to what I've done a day or so before I post. You're golden.

I haven't had a wrestler do that to me yet, but I think they do on my harder game settings. Playing on Easy because I still have no real clue what works and what doesn't.

Closest to that I get is sometimes my road agents will go nuts if I put guys in a "Call In The Ring" scenario because I thought their Psychology was fine when it wasn't.

Also I haven't picked up a Vince Russo when I had a Jim Cornette in the locker room. So far all my guys are cool with one another.
