I never miss The Miz more than when everyone is collectively forgetting that Dolph Ziggler sucks.

If you want someone to get thrown around and Jeff Hardy is too high, Dolph Ziggler is probably the best guy to call. I was referring to wrestlers in character forgetting that he's been a consistent looser for literal years. At least Kane always had the benefit of looking fucking terrifying.

So what's different about Ziggler this time? He's extra super mega motivated?

Back in 2016 his story went from he's never won the big one (despite being a two time World Champion) to he's never successfully defended the title to he needed to win the Intercontinental Title to prove himself. It didn't do him many favors.

Ziggler's done a brilliant job tricking a good portion of the audience that he's something special, and presenting himself as a such a huge deal IRL interviews that WWE felt compelled to grant him a huge new contract out of concern that Dolph might do some big things away from the company.

You might think he's a shitty wrestler, but I'd make the argument that Dolph is a damn savvy business man.

I haven't checked in with the interwebz for quite a while, so I'll use this commercial break.

We're all in agreement that Shinsuke Nakamura has been a profound disappointment, right?

    Yes, 100% agree.

My heart sunk when he won the Rumble.
