The admin of a page on Facebook called old school wrestling once posted the Armageddon 2003 event. He said it was better than any event WWE had put out in the last 10 years. He said that anything between 2003-2009 was far superior to anything from recent times.

I called him out on this and said thatâ??s a ridiculous statement. I reeled off some of the matches and cards to prove the shite that was been put out. He wouldnâ??t listen to any of it and started patronising me so I called him a cunt.

Iâ??m now banned of his page. I would like to add I was listening to the Royal Rumble 2004 on Something to Wrestle with Bruce Pritchard and he even said the event was shit. Apparently Goldberg was backstage smashing things over how bad the match was.

    Fuck that guy.

In fairness, there was some pretty good wrestling going on back then. But there's been some decent work since then too.

I agree no doubt there was some great work. However Iâ??ll always remember 2004 as the year we got JBL and Eugene.

2004 also gave us Snitsky. We didn't even deserve it.

All the dirt sheets in 1998 would rattle of their pointless speculation just to keep their blogs and columns updated, and seemed compelled to throw in a statement that Val Venis would soon be joining Degeneration X. I remember this happening until Val joined RTC.

WhatCulture can't possibly put out a video without lacing it with ridiculous bullshit that any rational fan of the video's topic worth their salt could catch. I remember them putting out a video on the most insane WWE moments, and they claimed that when Mick Foley wrestled Vader (for WCW mind you) and did his head in the ropes spot, that Mick was choked by the ropes and passed out while still caught between them. I've read "Have a Nice Day". It wasn't enough that Mick's ear was ripped off and that blood was gushing, which caused Mick genuine horror. These dork-asses at WhatCulture thought that they should throw in some bullshit about Mick losing air and passing out.

Speaking of shitty YouTube list-porn: there's a lot of clusters of jack-offs trying to bait clicks for their WWE related videos, and one of them made the most fucking stupid claim I've ever heard as a wrestling fan. Their claim was that Stone Cold Steve Austin got his name from the mafia hitman "Iceman" Richard Kuklinski. The chodes that uploaded the video dealt with the insulting comments regarding that claim by lying and saying that Stone Cold admitted as much in a now missing shoot interview.

Want a good laugh, hop over to kayfabenews and read that ridiculous bullshit they throw up there. Right now they're running with a story that Robert Mueller's (unreleased) report regarding potential collusion between President Trump and Russia during the 2016 election stated that President Trump isn't fit to be a member of the WWE Hall of Fame. Now, I get it, kayfabenews is run by a group of man-childs (man-children?) that only post stupid shit like that because they get off on having random nobodies like me react to them in any way. Well, congratulations kayfabenews, you've proven to quite a few people that you literally have no purpose in this world and that nobody will ever take anything that you produce seriously.

Dave Meltzer has been catching flak for being high on Dana Brooke for the last four years, but seriously, if you google "dana brooke" you'll get dirt sheets from nearly every speculative nerd-tank claiming things like "Vince is very high on Dana Brooke".

Austin has said that he got the idea for a stone cold killer from Kuklinski several times. The name stone cold came from his wife telling him to drink his tea before it got "stone cold". The Kuklinski part is a little off, but far from completely out of left field.

And that's where the internet is going these days. I might be an old man yelling at a cloud here, but there are a lot of websites out there that play the same game of "We're complete satire, but we really hope that some idiots believe our stupid shit". Believe it or not, their satirical nonsense is shared on social media as if it actually happened. At least other click-bait sites peddling nonsensical bullshit will state who authored the article, kayfabenews cites "staff" as the writer of their articles.

I'm on a rant here, but the whole idea is fucking stupid. It's like naming a newspaper "Fake News". You might be excited by the idea of one of their articles, but the word "kayfabe" means "fake" to anyone with half a brain. What they have in common with every other site overflowing with idiotic bullshit is that they hope, and will never admit hoping, that they'll make headlines for invoking War of the Worlds levels of mass hysteria. Even then those other sites usually have some kind of serious agenda, be it political or economic. Kayfabenews has the serious agenda of seeing just how stupid wrestling fans are, and -- as stupid as we can be -- we still don't hold a candle to the morons at kayfabenews who piss away their lives trying to come up with ways to satisfy that agenda.
