^ WWE is dead then!
But they're not
So I guess you think WWE should move RAW off of Monday nights?
My point is the act of comparing Wednesday night ratings to Monday night ratings is ridiculous.
I think they should write better shows so they don't lose key demos to a year old company.
Monday night?s game is being proclaimed by some commentators as one of the best games of all time. Definitely hyperbole, but still gives you an idea what kind of game it was. Using it as a weapon against WWE, when AEW literally has to move days/times for the NBA, which isn?t nearly as popular, is just bad form. But keep trying.
Raw has yet to lose the "key demo" to a year old company. They lost the "key demo" to a 100 year old company who has aired on Monday Night for 50 years. Once AEW starts airing on Mondays then you can start comparing. Until then it is comparing apples to sledgehammers.
AEW is beating NXT in ratings, yes. And I do believe NXT should move off Wednesday to avoid the competition (even though NXT was there first). They have yet to beat RAW or Smackdown since they do not compete and air at separate times.
So a year old t-shirt company run by a money mark and full of vanilla midgets who know nothing about psychology or promos on Wednesday got higher ratings in the key demo than all 3 hours of a 27 year old show that's been untouched for over 20 years and has all the biggest stars on Monday
I guess that invalidates the entire thing
There is nothing to invalidate. This is nothing but people making nonsense comparisons just to make AEW a bigger deal. To use your words, it's nothing but a mark for a "t-shirt company run by a money mark and full of vanilla midgets who know nothing about psychology or promos" skewing stuff to praise AEW.
comparing ratings across days is not how ratings works. Different competition, different number of people watching TV, etc.
Best thing is Tony Khan has said that he will never air on Mondays because he DOESN'T want to compete with Monday Night Football, so even the "money mark" that runs the company knows that running Monday is bad and skews ratings.
