Whether it was considered an unofficial championship contested under unsanctioned matches, or competing under a 24/7 rule, only one thing has changed - the Mayhem championship has always been defended with No Disqualifications or Count-Outs, eventually creating the signature WZCW match known only as Mayhem Rules and, for some reason, with most of its matches ending in the unlucky loser being put through a table.
