If the rumors of WWE shifting NXT back into a developmental territory are true (thus leading to WWE not signing every guy that has a good run on the indies and instead looking for larger than life people again), is that really bad for WWE (and the wrestling industry as a whole)? I mean in all honesty the most successful NXT people in WWE are from the days when it was a developmental territory (4 horsewomen, Shield, etc). Even Corbin, Elias and Alexa Bliss all come from NXT back when it was about development instead of trying to be equal.

And is it not better for the wrestling industry that some of these guys stay on the indies longer honing their craft so that they can become better performers before getting their big break on TV?
IYO SKY, Shotzi, Bayley, Gigi Dolan, Alba Fyre, Asuka, Kayla Braxton.

I think WWE has forgotten it exists.

It very well may be better as a whole. However, permit me to have zero faith in the current WWE to make it work.
